transferring to Winthrop University to earn my B.A. ended up being the best decision i have ever made. i won’t lie that it was difficult coming to a new school knowing i would only be there for 2 years. however, i am so grateful for all of the wonderful peers and professors who welcomed me from the beginning. i am thankful for everything i have learned at this school, both about myself as a person and as an artist. this last semester has been the best semester ive ever had because of the people i was surrounded by, and because i learned what fulfills me most as a performer before i go out into the real world. thank you to EVERYONE for treating me with so much kindness and making me feel as though i had been there all along🥹🩷

what a wonderful first experience with community theatre AND first show post-grad! i’m so grateful i got to spend this summer with such kind, inspiring, and TALENTED people. i’ll admit that doing this show while losing a loved one was very challenging, but it was the people i saw every day that helped me step out of that grief for a few hours and into a space of friendship and care. i also felt that i grew as an artist in various ways, from being one of the dance captains (my first time!) and also understudying two roles. thank you to everyone involved in this show for your kindness and patience. from crew to castmates to SM team to the live band to directors, this was a great first show to do at MPH🩷

as of last week, heaven is now home to one of my favorite people, my Grandmommy. i know she is no longer in pain and God is taking care of her, but selfishly i wish she were still here. i would do anything to read next to her again, to eat one more of her meals, and laugh with her every time i crouch down for a hug. this has been a loss i never wanted to live through, and im living it now.

Grandmommy, you have truly made my whole life special. you made Christmas pure magic. even though you didn’t love to eat brownies, you baked them for me every time i visited because you knew how much i loved them. you were the person who called us randomly to say there’s a good Hallmark movie on. you have been the most special person to me. you have given me memories that no one else could ever give me, and i am so grateful. i think of you as one of my bestest friends. i wish you could’ve come to my wedding and i wish you were still here. im so thankful you believed in God because I know i will see you again. “no cathy, you seem to forget. WE are the strongest man”❤️‍🩹

playing Catherine Stockmann in Henrik Ibsen’s “An Enemy of the People” was one of the most artistically fulfilling roles I’ve ever stepped into. Catherine taught me about the strength of being a woman in a society where that was often used against you. I had so much joy in bringing her character to life, and I can only hope I told her story with empathy and empowerment.

To everyone involved in this show, thank you so much for being my safe space. I have never enjoyed a process in its full entirety like I have with this show, and I couldn’t imagine a better experience to close out my college career with🩷 (also it doesn’t go unnoticed that i finished high school playing a character named Kathy, and now am finishing college playing a character nicknamed Cathy…life is funny)

“the music goes round and around woah oh oh oh…🎶

my summer at Carowinds consisted of over 300 music classes, and i’m hoping Ms Sally Brown FINALLY got an A on her paper😉 thank you to the entire cast and crew of MGR ‘24!! this summer was crazy, but it was truly the people who made it amazing and memorable. i’m so grateful to have spent another summer with Carowinds Entertainment, and i felt very honored to have taken on this role. thank you, thank you very much, Karin has left the building😎🤘🎸🪕🎼🎶

looks like i paid off my debt to Oga a little earlier than expected ;)

i honestly was dreading making this post because it would make everything feel more real. unfortunately, i had to end my disney college program a little earlier than expected. my mother had an emergency health situation that ended in me just feeling grateful she was alive. due to two unexpected surgeries, her recovery is going to be too long and too hard to be left alone. i’m very thankful to stay home with her and help her recover, even though i had to say goodbye to the dcp sooner than expected. i really enjoyed my time working for Oga on Batuu! thank you to everyone i met on my program and im so glad to have experienced Hollywood Studios (my favorite park) with @jeremy_price15 and let him explore my planet one last time🥹 til the Spire✨ taken in Batuu by @caralcole
