One of the coolest experiences we had in Tokyo!

While exploring Akihabara, we discovered Pixel Lab Tokyo, and it turned out to be such an amazing hands-on experience.

My kiddo got to work on a real Game Boy and learn how to take it apart, reconnect the pieces, work with the electronics, and bring it back to life. Watching them figure out how everything connects and actually rebuild it themselves was such a cool experience.

Pixel Lab offers hands-on workshops where you can refurbish and customize classic Game Boy systems, including the Original, Game Boy Advance, and Game Boy Advance SP. You can choose different shells and buttons and even add modern IPS screen upgrades. They also offer DS Lite modding workshops and other retro-gaming projects.

What I loved most was that it wasn't just about gaming. It was about learning how something works, using your hands, solving problems, and creating something you can actually take home.

If you're into retro gaming, electronics, engineering, STEM, DIY projects, or just love learning how things work, this is such a fun experience.

And Akihabara was the perfect place for it. Afterward, we found a cozy tea and listening café nearby where we relaxed with tea and listened to vinyl records. Such a fun contrast to the electronics and gaming energy of the area.

Gaming, engineering, creativity, nostalgia, and a little vinyl and tea afterward. Pretty much the perfect day.

Amazing time at @adventurelandli! I can't believe I'd never been before—what a hidden gem!

This park has such a fun mix of attractions for all ages. We loved the adorable haunted ride-through house, water rides, bumper cars, classic carnival games, the train that loops around the park, a fun magic show, an awesome arcade, and of course, Dippin' Dots! 🎠🚂🍦

There are also plenty of delicious food options, making it easy to spend the whole day there. Whether you're visiting with little ones, older kids, or just looking for a fun day out with friends or family, there's truly something for everyone.

If you're looking for a spot to make some great summer memories, @adventurelandli is definitely worth the trip! It is about 50 minutes from Brooklyn! by @caravannyc

I consider my kid a future LEGO master… and I’m sure other parents can relate! He can build LEGO sets for ages 18+ better than I can. From creating the Vecna house project from @strangerthingstv @projecthailmary spaceship all from @lego... we go to all these amazing brick shops finding legos that are no longer for sale... he has created so many incredible builds over the years, his creativity always amazes me. Now that he’s learning all about nature and the rainforest in school, this experience came at the perfect time since his class is also working on a LEGO habitat project.

We were so thankful to get a sneak peek at @oldwestburygardens Old Westbury Gardens for Sean Kenney’s Nature Connects® Made with LEGO® Bricks exhibit, and it was such a fun and educational experience for the whole family. The LEGO hunt throughout the gardens was such a creative way to explore, learn, and keep the kids engaged. These are the moments I’m so grateful for. @seankenneyart

The exhibit runs from May 16 through September 7, 2026, and is open daily (except Tuesdays) from 10 AM–6 PM. Admission is $22 for adults, $20 for seniors and students, $12 for children ages 7–17, and free for kids 6 and under.

At a recent event I brought a 4 sided doodle booth ... you could doodle the person across from you and then send them your doodle strip through the little slot... it was a hit... parents drawing their kids, kids drawing their parents, siblings and husband and wives .... the cute part is a whole family can doodle at the same time! #doodleart #doodler #doodlesrule #doodlesofnyc by @caravannyc

Can't wait for @strangerthingstv to drop #strangerthingstalesfrom85 got to check out the first 2 episodes @netflixhouse and we were screaming, jumping, laughing, grooving to the music... it is really good...plus @jakeconnellyofficial was there and was so kind to take a pix with my kid... for my kiddo who is a big Stranger Things fan it was a great day. #netflix @netflix #netflixhousephiladelphia #strangerthings plus if you are thinking about going to the Netflix House Philadelphia we loved it my kiddo especially the @wednesdaynetflix Eve of Outcasts but also was the captain at the @onepiecenetflix quest taken in Netflix House by @caravannyc
