I have done a lot of thinking over the last week and a half with a lot of questions of why and there are three things that stick out that I think mom would want everyone to know.
First, if you don’t know Jesus come to know him today. Her favorite bible verse was Philippians 4:13 “I can do all things through him who strengthens me”. She lived this daily; there was nothing she thought she couldn’t do. Though she was never very vocal about her religious beliefs, if you knew her, you knew exactly where she stood. There is peace in knowing that she is looking down on us smiling as she always did.
Secondly, love intentionally. There is no one I have ever known that loved the way she did. From family to friends, she made everyone feel like they were the most special person to her. I have had so many people tell me this week about how she made them feel as if they were her favorite. It truly was one of her many gifts. One of the things she has already done is bring our family so much closer together which I know she loves so much. Life to short not hold your people close!!
Lastly, choose joy! Mom’s greatest gift is that she made a choice every single day to be joyful. Though at times it was kind of annoying that she could see the good in anything, now I realize how much of a gift it was. I could go to her with any problem large or small and her response most of the time was just “be patient god has a plan” which is also just another testament to her faith. When most people would feel like their world is falling apart somehow, she was always looking for the good in the situation no matter what it was. Every single day was a “Great Day”!
Mom, thank you so much for the roll model you were to not only me, but so many others as well. You will be missed more than words will ever be able to explain and I love you so very much.

This one is so bittersweet! It’s so hard to believe that I now have two adult babies. I will never be able to fully explain to y’all just how proud of you I really am! You have become the most amazing humans which is what every parent can only hope for! I hope you have the best birthday! Happy 18th, I love you both more than you will ever know!!! by @carcoopa07
