🪔 DIWALI SUPPER CLUB 🪔

Join us on Friday 6th November at Prana House for a special Cardamom Kitchen supper club celebrating the Festival of Light.

Expect a beautiful Indian thali, something sweet to finish, and the wonderful sounds of @sitardub playing live from 7–9pm. 🎶

Prana House will also be offering a drinks pairing, with a choice of wine or cocktails, available to purchase directly from them on the night.

✨ Fish Curry — a fragrant, spiced fish curry
✨ Tharka Daal — creamy lentils finished with a sizzling tempering of spices
✨ Kaddu Aloo Sabji — pumpkin and potato cooked with warming spices
✨ Carrot & Cabbage Pickle — a fresh and spicy Indian-style pickle
✨ Vegetable Rice — fragrant basmati rice with vegetables and spices
✨ Khaman — a light, savoury steamed chickpea cake
✨ Roti — soft Indian flatbread

I launched Cardamom Bakes to share my family recipe biscuits, but it has quickly evolved into something so much bigger.

What started as sharing food with family and friends has grown into sold out supper clubs, new opportunities, and a growing love for creating memorable food experiences — so it felt like the right time to give that side of the business its own home.

A space dedicated to supper clubs, catering, pop-ups, and events — rooted in generous food, warm hospitality, and bringing people together.

And don’t worry, @cardamombakes_uk isn’t going anywhere. You can still get your biscuit and cheesecake fixes there, with desserts and sweet finishes remaining firmly part of the experience too.

If there’s one thing I love most about hosting supper clubs, it’s the people. 🧡

I love that people choose to spend an evening around my table, but what makes it really special is seeing so many different people come together, often not knowing each other at all, and sharing something in common for one night.

It’s the conversations between courses, the laughter that fills the room, the warmth, and the buzz that builds as the evening unfolds.

There’s something so lovely about creating a space where people can slow down, connect, share good food, and simply enjoy being together.

While the food is a big part of what I do, it’s the people, the connections, and the feeling in the room that make it all so special. ✨

Some evenings stay with you long after the last plate has been cleared. 🧡

My supper club @thisisnplh was one of those evenings. A stunning space, a warm and intimate atmosphere, and a table full of wonderful people. To everyone who joined us, thank you for being part of it and for supporting what I’m building with Cardamom Kitchen. And to Joe, thank you for opening up your home and letting me bring the evening to life.

To Zah, Sarena, Ryan, Roshni, and Alex — thank you for all your help on the night. These evenings take a team, and I’m so grateful for mine. 🧡

Finally, to the incredibly talented Asiri, thank you for capturing it all so beautifully. Seeing these photos and videos has taken me right back to the evening and allowed me to experience it through everyone else’s eyes. You’ve captured not just the moments but the feeling of it all.

My heart is full. Here’s to more evenings around the table, bringing people together through food, stories, and a little bit of magic. ✨

My next supper club is on 6th November at Prana House, where we’ll gather around the table for a comforting Indian thali, bringing together an array of dishes, before finishing with sticky date pudding and chai-spiced custard.

I've been very keen to try @cardamomkitchen_uk by Kam ever since I heard about it. Sadly I missed the barbecue in the summer, missing the supper club at NPLH in @leighmarina__ was not an option 🤓🥳

Well my body had other ideas and it became apparent yesterday I wouldn't be able to go 🥹😭 I messaged Kam to tell her of my predicament and apologise. In an incredibly considerate gesture she offered me the option to have the menu as a collection from the venue 🫶🏽🙌🏽 I know that was a pain and inconvenience she really didn't need, and now am sat here utterly stuffed (and for the first time today not thinking about how poorly I feel) I am so grateful that she was so generous with her hospitality to make it possible for us to still enjoy the food. ❤️🤞🏽

The bhajis with their punchy little chutney were a classic opener. Then came the prawns; sitting on top of a rich, deep, spiced-to-perfection sauce they were just the juiciest of delights. Leaving a smile on your tingly lips. Mains came in the form of lamp chops (I don't eat lamb but the meat lover was making all kinds of noises indicating it was pretty amazing!), and a paneer curry for me. The little pickled carrot side with the rice and peas were full of balanced flavours and nostalgic feelings. Rice with green peas is literally a core memory of my childhood and my Ma. 🫶🏽

All great meals should finish with something that brings all the courses before it, to a crescendo of sweet magnificence (I can't overstate how important pudding/dessert/afters, is). Whatever you name it we can hang, but if you skip it Imma have to think about you! 😉😆 This meal ended on such a high. A chai twist on tiramisu. A spongey creamy softly-spiced bit of heaven!👌🏽🙌🏽 Kam thank you so much not just for being an excellent chef and mistress of spice, but for taking me on a trip down memory lane I really hoped trying your (our) food would 🙏🏼❤️ If you were at the supper club tonight I trust you left as full and happy as I am 🤗👊🏽

WE DID IT! 🎉🔥 Our FIRST Cardamom Kitchen pop-up is DONE!

And what a way to kick things off — beautiful @leighmarina__ on a Sunday! 🌊☀️

A massive THANK YOU to @sammyjoneary for inviting us to be part of the Sunday Market. It really was meant to be! ❤️ You do such an incredible job bringing all the Marina events together.

Huge thanks to the whole Marina team for making our first pop-up so easy and for all your support. @i_amstevie @drift.los @lettersbetogether absolute legends 🫶🏽

And this really was a family affair. ❤️

My mum, dad and brother came along to get stuck in and help wherever they could, while my husband was on the pass dishing up plates like a pro! 😂🥘

And to EVERYONE who stopped by, grabbed some food and supported us — THANK YOU! 🥘❤️ We hope you loved it as much as we loved feeding you!

Our next Cardamom Kitchen Supper Club is coming to NPLH by the sea 🌊

And this one is all about food that feels like home — big flavours, family-style plates, good people and a little bit of cheeky indulgence.

On the menu…

✨ Kurkure — our spicy, crunchy little opener

✨ Vegetable bhajia with chilli sauce

✨ Angaari prawns — curry leaf & tamarind butter BBQ prawns

✨ Lamb Chop or Paneer Railway Curry
Served with rice, salad & pickle

✨ Chaimisu — because obviously

✨ And to finish… a cheeky chai with a measure of Disaronno 😉

Seeing people enjoying the pizzas alongside my dip was honestly the best part. You can spend ages planning and prepping, but seeing people actually enjoy what you've created makes it all worth it!

🧡 A little food for a very important cause.

Over the past few months, Jim and his family have gone above and beyond to raise awareness and much-needed funds for MND — from coastal walks and marathon training to bringing people together for a beautiful supper club.

We wanted to do our little bit to support them. 🧡

So on Saturday 5th September, Cardamom Kitchen will be at North Coffee & Wine, serving up vegetable bhajis and chilli dip, with proceeds going towards the MND fundraising effort.
