So sad to hear about the passing of Diane Ladd today. I was so lucky to work with her on a film in Texas a few years ago. She was so sweet to me. Every night, after work, she’d call me just to check in with me and discuss the days work. What a pro. Nominated for 3 Academy Awards, ex-wife of Bruce Dern, mother of Laura Dern, and a true acting legend. RIP, Diane. I was so fortunate to know you.

Shout out to Gavin Casalegno. I played his adoptive father in a movie shot in Texas years ago. He was only 12. He was a GREAT kid. Loved working with him. It’s awesome to see his huge success on “The Summer I Turned Pretty” and to see he’s gone from being a great kid to being a great man.

“I guess my secret to acting is I pretend real hard”
- John Candy

That quote made me laugh ‘til I cried. Do your heart some some good and watch this wonderful documentary on the late great John Candy.

In 1983, I starred in my very first movie, Making the Grade. While in Memphis today; 41 years later, I stood on the exact same spot where I filmed this scene. So wild to be back here!

Thank you for all the sweet birthday wishes! So great hearing from so many of you. This is 59. Hard to believe. I don’t feel 59! (Whatever that means…) I wish time would slow down! ‘Cause life is good!
