picture it — positano, italy, 2022.

to know me is to know my grandmama is my absolute favorite person in the world (my nephew is a very close second).

she passed away at the end of my junior year of high school, thus missing out on all my major life moments she helped come to pass like high school and college graduation, buying a home, becoming a successful entrepreneur and all of the other dope shit I’ve done. it’s been 12 years and to this day, she’s still the first person I want to call to tell about my accomplishments.

but let me tell you how my fiancé just continues to leave me speechless.

he not only commissioned a painting of my girl from the incredibly talented @mscree but he also shipped it from Atlanta to Italy to make sure my grandmama was with me for this moment.

I know from the bottom of my heart my grandmama would’ve LOVED Christian as a person, but especially as my person. this extremely thoughtful gesture by him completely blew me away and I just can’t believe I get to experience this love up close and personal.

I used to pray for times like this, to smile like this.

Christian is a true answered prayer. I have never been exposed to a love so pure, so genuine and so unconditional from another person like this.

He accepts my every flaw and finds a way to show extra love to the parts of me I struggle to love sometimes.

He exudes a level of patience unlike anything I’ve ever seen in my life. I’m not the hardest to love but I’m not the easiest either yet somehow, he never makes me feel like I’m irritating or getting on his nerves 🥹(when having a nonchalant man goes right!)

lastly, he loves me! Like visibly, out loud, make it last forever, make it uncomfortable type of love. The way he looks at me and handles me let’s me know I could ask him for the world and he would absolutely do everything in his power to give it to me.

I love you fiancé!
