At 21, I had nothing but a pair of scissors, a heart full of love for my craft, and the fire to make it work. No roadmap. No business degree. Just hustle, grit, and a dream. ✂️✨

Today, that little dream has grown from multiple locations over the last 11 years to now a dream team I’d do anything for, and three little humans who are my biggest why. 🫶🏼

This hasn’t been easy, it’s been late nights, lessons learned the hard way, and moments that tested every ounce of me. But it’s also been growth, love, and magic I could never have imagined.

If there’s one thing I’ve learned, it’s this: it was never about the destination, it’s always been about the journey. And every step has been worth it.

So if you’re sitting on a dream… chase it. Chase it with everything you’ve got. The world is waiting for your magic 🤍

Happy birthday to our Queen, Hair Mama, Mentor & Founder of @alarah_studio & @ted.haircare 🤍

@carla.tedescoo

The woman who pours her whole heart into her people, her craft, her clients and the industry she loves. Your passion is something we get to experience every day, and today we get to celebrate YOU.

You see potential in people before they see it in themselves. You push us because you believe in us. You give us opportunities that stretch us, back us when we’re nervous and celebrate our wins like they are your own.

You have shown us what can happen when a woman has a vision and the courage to keep showing up for it. Through the long days, the hard decisions and everything life brings, you keep making room for other people to grow alongside you.

Your care reaches beyond our salon doors. In the way you love apprentices, share your knowledge and put your heart into the future of hairdressing, you remind us why we chose this industry.

So many of us are braver, more confident and dreaming bigger because you’ve been in our corner. We hope you see that when you look around Alarah. There are people here whose lives you’ve changed simply by believing in them.

That’s a legacy you should be so proud of.

We hope today you feel every bit of the love you give so freely. You spend so much time cheering everyone else on. Today, it’s our turn.

Happy birthday, Carla. We love you.
Your Alarah family 🤍

I don’t balance it all. I just choose where my energy goes.

When I’m at work, I’m present.
When I’m home, I’m with my babies. 🤍

Some days I get it right, some days I don’t. But I’m learning I don’t have to give everything 100% all at once.

To the mamas trying to do it all. You are doing more than enough. 🥹🤍 by @carla.tedescoo

Never underestimate the power of overcommunicating. The more clarity you create, the less room there is for assumptions.

It makes all the difference

$8,757 raised today For our girl , and for a world where children like her feel understood, included and loved exactly as they are. 🥹 Watching people turn up, walk, run, donate and stand beside our family… I’ll never forget it. This is what a village looks like. To everyone who was part of Miles for Mimi, look what we did together. THANK YOU 🤍
