5 years ago today, we had to say goodbye. 5 years of unanswered questions. Jelani’s body was mutilated, eyeballs were missing, his teeth were missing and we want to know why. No family should have to deal with this. No family should have to go through what we’ve been through. Today we ask for support, love, and grace because the emotional toll of Jelani’s death is one that has forever changed us.

5 years ago today, I buried my son...
I never looked at him because I was scared to see what they described to me.....I REGRET IT EVERYDAY!!

Last year, my son told me what he saw when he looked at Jelani, how he could smell that smell for many days after...I REGRETTED IT MORE

5 years ago today was the last time I had all 5 of my children in the same room for the last time... this time my loudest child was the quietest....

I miss him every single minute of the day...

I need to know what happened to him

Happy birthday to the honorable Reverend Jesse Jackson Sr. Rev. Jesse Jackson was much more than just a an icon and a legend - he became our family. He heard Carmen Day’s plea for help and became a supporter, an advocate, a confidant, and an undeniable fighter for Jelani Day. He allowed the Day Family to stand on his shoulders and ensure that Jelani Day will not be forgotten or disregarded. He amplified Jelani. He displayed in real time what it meant to keep hope alive. He demonstrated how to use his image for the oppressed and unheard. Today we honor the legend that we got the esteemed privilege to call ‘Pops.’ We love you always and we thank you for eternally for welcoming us into your life; which was indeed a life well lived.

This Homecoming, the Jelani Day Foundation is honored to return to Alabama A&M University for the Homecoming Parade, representing Jelani at his alma mater.

We’re grateful to have HA2 and the brothers of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc. standing alongside us as we honor Jelani’s legacy and continue the fight for Justice for Jelani Day.

Jelani was a scholar, athlete, leader, fraternity brother, and proud Bulldog. He also served as Mister A&M and the official escort to Hyidea Burgess, Miss A&M 2018.

Now, we invite YOU to stand with us. Whether you knew Jelani, shared the Hill with him, or simply believe in justice, come march alongside us.

Come home. Stand with us. March for Jelani.

This is the residential area that Jelani's car was found in..... it entered the "WOODED AREA" in that space in the first pic, then they drove his car into this trees to conceal it.... this is NOT off a highway, this is NOT some area that a person with no knowledge of the area would go,
**You actually have to drive through this town, make several turns, stop at several stop signs to get to this area**
WHY would you conceal your car IF you're wanting to end your life?
WHY would you remove your license plate?
WHY would you get pity of your car and walk 3 MILES to a river and undress yourself?
WHY???????

WHY WOULD THE POLICE IN BLOOMINGTON, PERU, LASALLE, LASALLE COUNTY, ILLINOIS STATE POLICE, THE ATTORNEY GENERAL OR THE FEDERAL BUREAU OF INVESTIGATIONS think that ANY of this makes sense???
