POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED
Most of the beliefs that shape how we see ourselves… aren’t ones we consciously chose and are stored in our unconscious

They’re formed over time through experiences, conversations, environments, and moments where something felt significant enough for the mind and body to hold onto.

Often without us realising, they become the quiet narrative in the background:
“I’m not ready”
“I’m not confident”
“I can’t handle that”
“I’ve got to be strong”
“Money is scarce”
“You have to work hard”

And from there, they don’t just sit as thoughts…
they influence how we feel, how we respond, our behaviour and the choices we make.

But once a belief is identified, it can be questioned.
And once it’s questioned, it can start to shift.

Because not all beliefs are true and some of them are limiting us and keeping us in patterns that can cause us pain and sadness.

Gently bringing awareness to those patterns especially the ones that no longer serve you is the starting point of where real change begins. ❤️ by @carolbelieveandthrive

This is happening automatically…

That feeling in your body,
the lump in your throat,
the flip in your stomach,
the tingling, the tightness, the almost “something’s not right” feeling…

That’s not random.

That’s your system responding.

And it happens before you’ve even had time to think.

Which is why no amount of logic, reassurance, or “just think positively” really shifts it.

Because you’re trying to override something that isn’t coming from your thoughts…
it’s coming from your ‘felt sense’.

The body remembers.
The body responds.
And then the mind tries to make sense of it afterwards.

So if the feeling stays the same…
the behaviour usually does too.

This is the part I work with.

Gently bringing awareness to what’s being held in the body, so it can start to shift, not by force, but by actually allowing the system to update.

It’s interesting, it’s powerful… and for a lot of people, it’s a bit of a lightbulb moment. ❤️

If you’re curious, come and experience it.

And if this resonates, feel free to share it with someone who might need to hear it too ❤️ by @carolbelieveandthrive

It’s not just what we’ve been through
it’s what stayed unprocessed that shapes us.

Every experience we have is stored not just as a memory, but with an emotional charge. And the brain is wired to hold onto the negative more than the positive, it’s how we’ve learned to stay safe.

And this is where the subconscious comes in.

Around 95% of how we think, feel, and behave is driven by the subconscious, by patterns, memories, and emotional responses that sit beneath our awareness.

So when you find yourself reacting in ways you don’t fully understand…
overthinking…
holding back…
feeling anxious in situations that never used to affect you…

it’s not random.

It’s your system responding from what it already knows.

And that’s why just “thinking differently” often isn’t enough.

Because the body is still holding the memory.
The felt sense is still there.

When we start to work at that level, gently, safely
those patterns begin to shift. by @carolbelieveandthrive

Anxiety is in your body, yet we believe it’s in our mind. If you really stop when you get anxious and check in with what your body is feeling and doing you can understand this. When we start to listen to the body rather than trying to ignore or push through, something shifts. Next time you feel like this instead of thinking what’s wrong with me, gently as your body what it’s needing right now. In my next posts I will share some nervous system regulation tips x and if you’re curious about learning how to work with your nervous system in a steady, supportive way, I’d love to share more x by @carolbelieveandthrive

The most common sentence I hear from women in midlife is this:
I don’t recognise myself anymore

Somewhere between becoming a wife and becoming a mother…
many women quietly lose themselves.

Not suddenly.
Not dramatically.

But slowly.

Life becomes full of people you love… yet somehow you begin to feel lonely inside it.

Because your role becomes everything.

The organiser.
The emotional support.
The one who holds everything together.

And without even noticing, parts of you get placed on a shelf.

Your voice.
Your dreams.
Your sense of self.

I see this so often in my work.

Women who deeply love their families but quietly feel disconnected from themselves.

What most people don’t realise is that this isn’t just emotional… it’s neurological.

When we spend years prioritising everyone else, the brain creates subconscious patterns like:

“I must hold everything together.”
“My needs come last.”
“It’s easier not to rock the boat.”

Over time these patterns become wired into the nervous system and subconscious mind.

Until one day we look at our lives and think…

When did I disappear?

But here’s the beautiful truth.

You didn’t disappear.
You adapted.

And anything the subconscious mind has learned… it can also gently unlearn.

When we begin working with both the mind and the body — regulating the nervous system and understanding our subconscious patterns — something powerful happens.

We begin to reconnect with ourselves again.

Not just the version of us from years ago.
But a wiser, more integrated version.

This is the work I now do through my Integrated Mind & Body Method — helping people gently reconnect with themselves and heal the subconscious patterns

Because the most important relationship you will ever rebuild…
is the one you have with yourself. ❤️ by @carolbelieveandthrive

What if it all works out?
In even more detail…

It sounds so simple. Almost naive.
But there is actually powerful science behind this question.

Our brains are wired with the negativity bias. From an evolutionary perspective, our nervous system learned to scan constantly for danger to keep us safe. The problem is that in modern life this ancient survival system often keeps us locked in cycles of worry, overthinking and worst-case scenario thinking.

When we repeatedly ask ourselves “What if this goes wrong?” the brain activates threat circuits. The amygdala signals danger, stress hormones increase, and the nervous system shifts into a protective state.

But when we intentionally introduce a new question — “What if it all works out?” — something interesting happens.

You begin interrupting the brain’s default fear pathway and opening up new neural possibilities. This simple reframe engages the prefrontal cortex, the part of the brain responsible for perspective, problem solving and regulation of emotional responses. In other words, it helps move you out of survival mode and back into a more balanced, regulated state.

It’s not about blind positivity or pretending life is perfect.

It’s about gently reminding the nervous system that uncertainty doesn’t only hold threat… it also holds possibility.

This is a big part of the work I do.

When we combine subconscious work with nervous system regulation, we can start to change the internal questions our brain automatically asks. Over time this reshapes the patterns that keep us stuck in anxiety, self-doubt or fear.

And when those patterns shift, our whole experience of life can shift with them.

So today, if your mind is racing ahead to everything that might go wrong… pause for a moment and ask yourself:

What if it all works out?

You might be surprised how your body responds. 🤍 good luck and let me know how you get on ❤️ by @carolbelieveandthrive

What if the thing you’ve been searching for isn’t outside of you at all?

I hope through these reels you’ve started to see a different way of understanding what’s been happening for you.

Not just what you feel… but why.

The patterns.
The overwhelm.
The physical sensations that seem to come from nowhere.
The feeling of being stuck, lost, or like you’ve somehow drifted away from who you used to be.

These aren’t random.

They’re signals.

The tools I’ve shared here are the same ones I’ve used myself…
And truthfully, I wish I had found them years ago.

Because when you understand what your mind and body are doing, everything begins to shift.
Not through force. Not through logic.
But through awareness.

And that’s where the real power is.

This is the work I now offer — helping you get to the root of what’s really driving how you feel, so you can stop managing symptoms and start actually understanding yourself.

If something in this has resonated with you, I’d love to support you.

And if you want more of this kind of content, please follow along — I’ll still be sharing and reposting lots of powerful, thought-provoking pieces that align with this work, even though I won’t be creating as many reels myself for now.😂

And if you know someone who might need to hear this… please share this page with them.🥰
Because the way these messages reach people is through you.
You never know how these may help…
Someone you love might be quietly struggling.
And this might be the moment something finally clicks for them.❤️ Thank you 🙏 by @carolbelieveandthrive
