Of course it’d take a new @spaceykacey song to inspire me to do a lil personal type post for the first time in a long time 🪐 #deeperwell by @carolinewurtzel

Read this quote the other day and I really ~felt it, so I wanted to design a version for myself 🖤 (I kind of feel like making & posting this is like putting up a sad away message but whatever most of u know I love to get in my feelings with quotes) by @carolinewurtzel

Hi, hello! I’ve got that just-for-fun project itch, and while I will always be making lyric posts, I thought I’d challenge myself to something new and remake the covers of books I’ve been reading. First up is The Wind-Up Bird Chronicle by Haruki Murakami.

📚This book has a little bit of everything: missing cats, missing wives, mysterious women, WWII, hotel rooms, whiskey, corrupt politicians, and it all centers around a fairly unambitious yet somehow simultaneously determined man who travels through consciousness while sitting in the bottom of a well. Did I sell it?? It’s a doozy!

More covers to come 👀 by @carolinewurtzel

I turned 36 so, naturally, I celebrated by revisiting favorite childhood crafts with my friends!! Had the best time tie-dyeing, bracelet making, and generally gabbing with the best RVA crew 💖 Feelin’ grateful! taken in Virginia Museum of Fine Arts by @carolinewurtzel

After a long month of freak injuries (snake bites and somehow lodging a stick into her side) Pepper could finally play freely yesterday now that she’s stitch-free. I think this photo accurately represents how we all feel about this update ☺️ (also it’s just so cute it had to go on the feed) taken in Richmond, Virginia by @carolinewurtzel

This year we weren’t able to get up to NY to celebrate Passover with my family as usual, so I decided I’d try and host my own Seder (I hosted one other time in 2023 - time flies!). I wanted to share my holiday traditions with friends here in RVA, especially as the only Jewish friend in the group. I’m not particularly religious at all, but these traditions are important to me, and feel even more important when I feel far away from family. So I made a pot roast, matzo ball soup from scratch, charoset...the whole deal. And then I introduced everything to my friends who were so open-minded, respectful, and curious — and for that I continue to feel so grateful.

I also designed my own Haggadah! I had made one back in 2023, but this year I wanted to give her a little facelift. This is quite an abridged version of a traditional Haggadah - just hitting the highlights here - but it felt really nice to cobble together passages and texts that I felt resonated with how I want to observe the holiday and the messages of freedom, compassion, and community that I wanted to share with my own community here in RVA. And, why not make it pink?

After lots of prep, lots of food and lots of wine, my cup feels so, so full 💖 taken in Richmond, Virginia by @carolinewurtzel

I realized I kind of stopped posting The Little Things on here (probably because, gestures, the world) but upon doing ye olde 2016 reposting, I realize I miss having a mini time capsule in this app! So here I go again posting random tidbits like I used to. First up is this bookmark I made at a delightful crafternoon this weekend. It brings me joy 💫 by @carolinewurtzel
