@vanityfair’s 2026 new establishment list features the leaders of the AI industry shaping the new world that we live in today and no doubt our future. These beautiful signs were handcrafted as an intentional reaction to artificial intelligence and computer generated artwork, a vertical version for the mobile and social platforms and horizontal for the opening print spread and desktop site header.

I am proud and honored to have had the opportunity to gild this piece, 12k white gold leaf with patina, typography design by @triborodesign and fabricated by @super.design.studio.

“One day last fall, Laura and I had the privilege of tagging along with @abbybangser to visit artist @carolleskanic in her beautiful sunlit CT studio. There to see the collection Carol was working on for our upcoming show with @object_thing, we were captivated not only by these pieces, but all of Carol’s work. Inspirational objects from the natural world felt like a cabinet of curiosities, and works in progress as well as finished pieces glowed with a soft, warm, yet intense, beauty.
We were mesmerized.
Zeroing in on a stunning gilded tree lamp Carol had made for her own personal collection, we asked about it, and lucky for us, Carol was excited to work with us on a new and final edition in this series.
Starting several years ago with seeing a fallen tree on a friends property, thinking about its exceptional form and how the light would reflect on it if she were to gild it, to having the tree cut into select pieces, drying it, then working on it in the most traditional of ways: gesso, clay, and 12k white gold leaf. This softened with the patination process creating the warm glazed surface. At Florrie we are so often drawn to objects inspired by nature, and even better, with a sense of history.”
