The walk to your corral. It’s starts to set in that your actually running a marathon. Everyone is scrambling to get in. Some people are lucky to have an entire support system helping them throughout the morning while others have to figure out everything alone. You’ve done everything you can to prepare now it’s time to race. by @carters.flicks

Last year I attended my first chicago marathon despite living in the chicagoland area my entire life. I fell in love with all the emotions this race brings and how it puts the best city in the world in the spot light. I set out this morning to capture the moments before everyone arrives at grant park. Everyone has their way of dealing with pre-race nerves. I wanted to focus on the ‘L’ because it’s one of the unique experiences of our marathon bringing everyone into downtown. You’re forced to mingle with folks and get uncomfortable packing into a metal box. taken in Chicago, Illinois by @carters.flicks
