Carter (number 33) got to put some of the moves he’s been practicing in the basement to work. 🏒 Watching him follow his shot, chase down the rebound, and finish the play shows the value of hard work and determination. 💪🏾. The Mid-Atlantic Showcase Series in Philadelphia was a great experience. #hockey #hockeylife #icehockey #nhl taken in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania by @cartersrink

Philadelphia hockey tournament can require grittier play. When you play in Philly you gotta adapt and play Philly style. You have to be ready to adjust your game. When in Rome do as the Romans. 🏒💪🏾

🚨 NEW LEVEL UNLOCKED! 🔓🏒

Nice job recognizing when to shoot and when to set up a teammate! 🤝🥅

Goals are great, but creating scoring opportunities for your teammates is just as important. Keep building that hockey IQ and making plays! 💪🏾🔥

If you miss the shot, get the rebound.
If your teammate misses the shot, get the rebound.
If you have the shot, TAKE the shot.
If you don’t have the shot, MAKE the pass.

🏒 Crash the crease. Find open ice. Hunt the rebound.

Simple hockey. Hard work. Finish the play. 💪🏾#hockey #iceskating #icehockey #icehockey #nhl taken in Virginia by @cartersrink

It was his first time playing in a 3,500 seat hockey arena, and being there to watch it was a great experience for both of us.

He finished the first period with three goals and two assists, playing hockey like a downhill running back—north-south, attacking the crease, finishing through contact, and hunting for rebounds. 🏒💪🏾

For the remainder of the game, Coach gave him the opportunity to play defense and work on his passing, helping him continue to develop the all-around game he’ll need as he grows.

I love watching his game continue to develop.#hockey #hockeylife #icehockey #usahockey #iceskating taken in Virginia by @cartersrink

CARTER IS STARTING TO GET IT! 🔥🏒💪🏾

He’s finally remembering to FOLLOW UP HIS SHOTS! Not every shot is going in—and that’s okay. The important part is learning that the play doesn’t end after the first shot.

Miss the net? Follow it up.
Goalie makes the save? Follow it up.
Rebound hits the ice? GO GET IT! 💥

I keep telling him—you don’t have to score every shot to impact the game. Sometimes you just have to be the guy who gets the rebound.

Starting to give me a little Dennis Rodman mentality: go where the puck is going to be, battle for it, and get that second chance. 🏒🏀🔥

He’s starting to understand the importance of being a net-front player and using his size and strength to create opportunities.

The improvement is showing. The little things are starting to click—and I LOVE seeing it! 👊🏾

Bam-Bam got BUSY this weekend! 🏒🔥

I still can’t believe Carter’s only 7 years old. He’s starting to really understand the importance of being a net-front player — and that a rebound counts just as much as the 15-foot snipe. 😤🥅

Get to the crease. Battle for position. Find the rebound. Finish the play.

That’s hockey. 💪🏾🏒 #hockey #hockeylife #icehockey #usahockey #nhl taken in Tucker Road Ice Rink by @cartersrink

🏒 2026–2027 HOCKEY SEASON REWARDS 🏒

This season, we’re putting a little extra incentive behind the things that make winning hockey happen.

🥤 Medium Slurpee — Every rebound goal or goal scored from the crease/net-front area.

💵 $1.00 — Every assist.

The goal is simple: score goals, create goals, and play smart hockey.

We’re encouraging Carter to look for teammates who are open instead of forcing plays, while also getting to the net and using his size and strength to create opportunities around the crease.

Pass the puck. Get to the net. Crash the crease. Make plays.

And yes… there’s a Slurpee waiting for him when he does. 😂🏒🥤

Carter’s skating is coming along. Every single year, we’ve seen improvement. This season, our personal goals for him are simple: better passing and a higher hockey IQ. Keep building, keep improving, and keep stacking the work.

Carter was excited to be back on the ice! First game of the 2026–2027 season is in the books. 🏒

Bam-Bam is learning that every sport brings something to the ice: shot put builds hip rotation, ballet builds balance, Taekwondo builds confidence, and track builds endurance.

Different sports. Different tools. One complete hockey player. #Hockey #IceHockey #YouthHockey #YouthHockeyPlayer #HockeyLife taken in MedStar Capitals Iceplex by @cartersrink

Hats off to the opposing goalie. He was a fortress—nothing was getting past him. Tons of shots on goal, but he was definitely in a zone. Gotta give credit when credit is due. 🥅
