‘Tis my absolute favorite time of year—when my home aesthetic aligns perfectly with the season! This always means switching my bedding and having it bask in the beautiful golden hours in the afternoon. This year, I recycled all of my classics—my kantha throw, @target Casaluna XL knitted throw, and @twentythirdbydeanne Renaissance pillow covers—and paired them with my new @levtexhome Muslin Stitch Quilt Set. This may now be my favorite bedding to date.

Right now, LevtexHome is having a 20% off sale, so to ship this beauty, you can find the link in my bio, stories, and story highlights!

As you all know by now, partnering with @caraway_home has been one of my absolute favorite collaborations to date. Their non-toxic cookware has been my go-to since first opening the box—and you all KNOW I’m always, always cooking!

As Mother’s Day approaches, I’m sure many of you are looking for the perfect gift for mom! This 4-piece cooking collection is the perfect option for all the mamas that love to throw down in the kitchen! For 10% off your purchase, shop the link in my bio (and stories!) and give the gift that keeps on giving! Your bellies will thank you! 😉

And just like that, summer has turned to autumn, and the whispers of the holiday season are just about everywhere!

I made the decision this year to focus less on content and more on making our home one filled with holiday cheer. So that looks like less collaborations and rushing to decorate my home, and more of doing things on my own time and savoring the seasons and holidays as they come.

So here I am, popping in to share my fall/winter bedding that I put together without that extra layer of timeline stress—and one that you can find links to on my LTK 😊

Come say hi in the comments below! Miss you all, fam 🫶

As always, on my quest to make every dish healthier, I share with you my chickpea orzo “risotto”—most definitely a new recipe added to the rotation!

First, get your water on.

While that comes to a boil, in a pan, sauté a red onion, minced garlic, and diced portobello mushrooms in olive oil. S&P to taste.

Once the water is at a boil, salt it well and throw in your chickpea orzo. Keep an eye on this and take it out al dente because it’s about to cook a little more.

Now the trick is to drain the orzo and rinse to remove some of the starch. Throw into the pan and add a deglazed-amount of chicken stock, about one full go-around of white wine (I used Pinot), and then a boop of heavy cream. Add in a handful (or two) of grated cheese and stir until it reduces. Then, add in your peas at the end so they keep their color.

And that’s it! Your high protein, low glycemic “risotto” packed with all the flavor! I served this alongside grilled chicken thighs and broccoli and it was a hit—even Josephine loved it!

Buon appetito, fam!

Every season deserves its moment, and our bedroom has just felt like the plopping zone for way too long. So in this summer season, I’m letting our bedroom shine with some small changes that made a huge impact!

First and foremost, as much as I’ve loved my Loloi Layla area rug these last few years, I wanted to brighten the space. So, before the Prime sale, I purchased this 8x10 for only $99! It is soft to the touch and the perfect palette cleanser that our worn and torn floors needed. (We will get to these floors one day…)

The next step was to find the perfect summer bedding, so I partnered with @linensandhutch for one of these two incredibly cozy, and most importantly, cool-sleeping quilts! The beige quilt is their 3-Piece Diamond Stitch Quilted Coverlet Set in Natural. The floral print is from Wayfair, and it was on MAJOR SALE for $47.99! To tie the bedding together, I took some help from @knobthornhome for the most beautiful Hand Block Print Linen pillow covers and Amazon for the solid ones.

Lastly, I had an old black frame that was collecting dust, so I cleaned it off, added a bit of bronze rub-and-buff, some brown stain over that, and printed this vintage coastal art at Walgreens.

And voila! Just like that, our bedroom has become not just a place to plop, but a serene space for the long summer days and nights ahead 😌

I just finished a little bedroom refresh for summer, but before I share the entirety of the space, let’s give these incredible pillow covers from @knobthornhome the moment they deserve 🤩

These are the Grey Floral Hand Block Print Linen Pillow and they are the sophisticated summer print that tied together the entire bedding set-up.

I always love supporting small businesses, so even though these big-store sales are going on, cultivating one-of-a-kind items in your home truly makes such a difference!

New summer dip loading…

Let’s call this a Southwestern dip chock full of veggies and so incredibly refreshing!

Combine black beans (or whatever beans you like or have on hand!), sweet corn, half of a diced red onion, a couple of diced orange peppers, a cucumber (again, diced lol), and mix with this simple dressing: A boop of mayonnaise, two boops of sour cream, a juicy lime (or a bunch of small little limes like I had to use here), a sprinkle of chili powder, paprika, cumin, and salt. Mix together and voila!

It’s been a while since I’ve said this, but buon appetito, fam! 🥰

That summertime golden hour makes every room—bathrooms included—look picture perfect 😌

Right now, my favorite @twopagescurtains is having their summer sale, and with my code CASACOLUCH, you’ll get 22% off your order. Truly nothing like a striped linen shower curtain this time of year 🫶

In keeping with the theme of 𝑻𝒉𝒆 𝑺𝒖𝒎𝒎𝒆𝒓 𝑱𝒐𝒔𝒆𝒑𝒉𝒊𝒏𝒆’𝒔 𝑩𝒆𝒅𝒓𝒐𝒐𝒎 𝑻𝒖𝒓𝒏𝒆𝒅 𝑷𝒓𝒆𝒕𝒕𝒊𝒆𝒓, I swapped her bedding for the @levtexbaby Mills Waffle Crib Bedding Set in pink, and I just love how it’s the perfect balance of summer coziness!

While she only sleeps with a crochet blanket that my mom made for her (one of several!), it’s absolutely important to have the look of a cozy toddler bedroom, am I right? She does like to play on this comforter and that’s enough for me! LOL!

As much as I loved the @twopagescurtains Liz Linen Blackout Curtains in Josephine’s room, Josephine loved them more. So much, in fact, that she would drape herself in them every chance she could get and play, Where’s JoJo? And she did this, every day, until the brackets began to tear away from the wall and we had to take them down before she got hurt.

I decided then that I would have to switch to a shade (and will probably do so in all of our other rooms eventually). Thankfully, @twopagescurtains had the exact same color, Pink Lemonade, in a motorized Roman shade—the perfect solution to our problem.

For all of the mamas in the same boat as I’ve been in, use my code CASACOLUCH for 22% off your order. I promise, you can still have aesthetics and function in your homes!

Hi, fam! I know I’ve been such a sporadic creator these days, but just know all is well in our little world! We spent the last few weeks getting our yard in order and our flowers and vegetables in the ground, so now it’s time to enjoy the fruits of our labor!

Josephine and I have been taking full advantage of this 90-degree weather the last few days, and while I have some time off, I am truly sinking into the long, lazy summer days while I can!

Here’s to a fun-filled summer for us all, fam! ☀️
