Hi!👋 I’m Sarah and I’m your host at Casa Pondo! This cabin has been an absolute dream come true! Growing up, family vacations consisted of tent camping all over Northern California. I grew to love the outdoors and spent many summers working at a camp among the redwoods in the Santa Cruz mountains.

While I currently reside in a tiny studio apartment in the heart of Los Angeles, I love retreating to the mountains to slow down, reflect, and connect with God, friends and family. Not to mention, to smell those pine trees!🥰

Purchasing a cabin on a remote mountaintop has not been without its challenges. We’ve had devastating wildfires, destructive winters, and the heartbreaking tragedy of losing our beloved local Ponderosa Lodge in a fire.

All in all, it’s been a true gift and beautiful experience. I’ve met the most precious, supportive, helpful neighbors who have become fast friends and I’ve been so very blessed to share my home with guests. I get messages like:
“My son saw snow for the first time!”
“Even my teenage daughter put her phone down and played outside with the family!”
“My wife and I saw shooting stars from the deck!”

It’s a true joy and honor to share my very special home away from home with you. I absolutely dream of restoring other rundown homes in the future.
Thanks for visiting! Come back soon!
🤍Sarah

It’s daffodil time!! On a quest to create a little daffodil hill by planting more rows of bulbs each fall. Thanks to these sweet friends for helping me get 1000 bulbs in the ground this past fall! 💛
