🚨The post you’ve all been waiting for 🚨

Six weeks later… but better late than never.
😅 😮‍💨

Introducing our firstborn son:
Bradley Benjamin Bauman 💙🩵🤍
“Broad meadow” — a place of strength, favor and blessing
“Son of the right hand” — beloved, bold and chosen by God

Bradley means “broad meadow” or “wide clearing”—a place where light breaks through the trees. Rest. Peace. Promise. And that’s exactly what he feels like to us.

After years of praying for one another, longing for a family of our own, and walking through uncertainty, this little one is our clearing—our calm after the storm. The answer to prayer we didn’t know could come so quickly.

And also… because he’s a big boy!

At 9 lbs. 5 oz. and 21½ inches long, born at 42 weeks and 1 day, Bradley made his entrance like a linebacker—broad-shouldered, full-cheeked, and clearly in no rush. A gentle giant from the very start.

We needed a name strong enough to match this baby—and, as much as we tried to resist it (because we had other name plans), Bradley just fit. A name that felt ordained, not chosen—spoken over you before we even understood it.

Benjamin means “son of the right hand.” A name rooted in Scripture that speaks of identity, strength, and blessing. Though he was the youngest of Jacob’s sons, the tribe of Benjamin became known for its warriors — for bold leadership and divine favor. A legacy of courage and purpose that we speak over our son.

And because Benjamin’s father called him a ravenous wolf—and we’ve been calling this boy our ravenous milk wolf since we looked at the name Benjamin. 😂🐺🍼

Gentle, peaceful, joyful, reserved and calm (Bradley)—until he’s not (Benjamin). Moments of fire and strength (Benjamin) hidden beneath that stillness and softness(Bradley).

That temperament feels just right.

This time last year, Nathan and I had met 2 months ago, and would be married in 2 weeks, and conceive just 2 weeks after our wedding.

So much can change in a year.

Six weeks into life with Bradley, we’re still in awe that he’s here. He is both an answered prayer and a living reminder that God hears, God remembers, and sometimes…

Happy 3 weeks to our favorite little buddy!

These photos were taken when he was just 3 days old. I originally planned to save them for a name reveal… but since he still doesn’t have a name (🙈), I couldn’t wait any longer to share.

Three weeks ago, I went through the most intense, excruciating pain of my life bringing him earthside — and every second was worth it.

Since then, it’s been 21 days of pure bliss and endless snuggles.

Everyone warned us how hard the newborn days would be — and we were prepared for the worst. But somehow, this guy has brought more peace, joy, and gentle rhythm into our home than we could’ve imagined.

He’s calm, cuddly, patient, and only cries to tell us he’s hungry or needs a change. He sleeps in long stretches, loves cuddling, and makes the cutest little sounds. He’s growing, maturing, and surprising us in new ways every single day.

And yes — he’s still our BIG boy. He arrived strong, solid and wide-eyed, surpassed his birth weight before the end of his first week, and is already rocking size 2 diapers and outgrowing newborn clothes like a champ. Even the names we once loved feel a little too small for him now. 😅

We’re so in awe of him. So smitten. So deeply honored to be his parents — and to get to love him for the rest of our lives. 🤍🩵💙

…and then there were 3. 🩵💙🤍

Our sweet boy took his time—42 weeks + 1 day—but oh, was he worth the wait. 😭🙏

After an intense, unmedicated 10.5-hour labor that pushed me to my absolute limits, we welcomed our 9 lb, 5 oz, 21.5 inch ( 🥵😅) chunky miracle just as the sun was rising and golden light poured into our room, with palm trees and birds of paradise swaying outside our windows. It felt surreal. Sacred. Holy. Powerful.

We had the birth playlist, affirmations, tea lights, labor tools, scripture cards, snacks, and everything all packed and ready… and didn’t use a single thing. My labor unfolded so fast and instinctively — it was nothing like we imagined, yet somehow everything I hoped for.

I feel bliss. I feel relief. I feel a deeper love for my husband, a stronger faith in God’s perfect timing, and an immense, soul-deep reverence for all mothers—because wow, I don’t know how I’d ever do that again... and I’m wildly proud of myself for the strength it took to bring this future world-changer earthside.

Grateful for all the love, check-ins and support on here—means so much! 🥹

Happy 16 months to my little love, my adventure buddy—and a bittersweet milestone as we officially complete our nursing journey together. 🥹🤍

16 months of mama’s milk.
Well over 1,000 hours of nursing and pumping that I’ll never get back—and would never trade.

Every morning.
Every nap.
Every bedtime.
Every 2–3 hours, all night long… until you finally started (mostly!) sleeping through the night last month. 😅🥹

Pumping after nearly every feed for 14.5 months.
In the car, on airplanes, at church.
Not a single drop of commercial formula.

Falling asleep in each other’s arms.
Hundreds of quiet moments that belonged only to us.

A near full-time job that nobody thanks you for — including the beneficiary. 😆

It wasn’t always easy.
It wasn’t always convenient.
It definitely wasn’t always comfortable — especially when my arm went completely numb, or when you’d bite me, laugh, and bite me again. 😅

But it was ours. And it was the best.

It was one of the greatest honors of my life, and some of the most sacred time I’ve ever spent with you.

I can’t believe you’re growing up and no longer need mama’s milk. Part of me wishes I could freeze time right here.

I am so proud of us. Proud of my body. Proud of you. Proud of everything we figured out together and how we became naturals at it.

If I could go back to the beginning and know everything I know now—the exhaustion, the countless middle-of-the-night feeds, the pumping, sore nipples, numb arms—I would still choose it. Over and over again.

My baby is growing up, and I know there are so many beautiful adventures ahead of us.

And I will always, always treasure this chapter.

Bradley Bear nursing in mama’s arms.
16 months. Forever in my heart. 🤍

$Just a few days after I was in the ER losing our baby, we found ourselves back in the ER again—this time with Bradley after he broke his leg in a playground accident on the slide. He ended up with a spiral tibia fracture. After a week in a cast, he’s now in a boot for at least a few more weeks. At first, it was heartbreaking to watch a little boy who loves running, climbing stairs, swimming, and riding his cars suddenly unable to do so many of his favorite things. At the same time, we’ve been amazed and encouraged by how adaptable and resilient kids can be. He quickly figured out how to navigate life with a cast and now a boot, and while it frustrates him at times, he’s still our happy, silly, active little guy. We’re counting down the days until he’s fully healed and back to doing what he loves. In the meantime, we’re just so proud of him. 💙 by @cassiedotnet$

TW: Pregnancy Loss 💔

I’ve watched these reactions through tears more times than I can count. 😭🥹😍

So much joy. So much excitement. So much love for a baby we would only get to hold in our hearts.

You were celebrated from the moment we knew you existed, sweet baby B. And though your time with us was far too short, your life mattered and you will never be forgotten.

We find comfort knowing you are in the hands of our Creator and we will get to meet you one day! 🙏

*TW: pregnancy loss

This was all queued up and ready to share the amazing (and shocking!) news that Bradley would be a big bro in January!

…and the very day before we’d see your heartbeat again and share this post, we found out you were already gone. 😭💔

We met you at 6 weeks and saw your tiny fast heartbeat, and by 8 weeks you were gone.
Not fair. Not fair at all.

A broken heart and tears rolling down my face… and I share this because life isn’t just made up of highlight reels.

Baby Bauman #2, you were so wanted, so loved and so celebrated. You were just as much a surprise and miracle as Bradley was— I didn’t even think my cycle had returned yet since I’m still nursing!

In your short life, you brought so much joy, excitement, laughter, hope, and love to us and to everyone who knew about you. We had already started dreaming and planning a life for you and with you… but you were gone too soon. Yet we find comfort knowing you are in the safest and most loving hands possible. We trust that one day we’ll get to meet you.

Until then, sweet baby B, we love you and we miss you. 🤍

And now I’ll share the post we had written to celebrate and honor you...

Bradley is going to be a BIG BROTHER early January 🤯 💙 🥹

(Er… Valentine’s Day if this baby is anything like Bradley 😅)
