Project Horizon Island 🌞
This project has truly been a labour of love from start to finish.
Every detail was thoughtfully considered, from interior finishes, plumbing fixtures, and hardware selections to the design and detailing of custom millwork throughout the home. Collaboration with a trusted builder helped make the entire process seamless from concept to completion.
The lighting package was carefully curated, along with furnishings throughout the home, including custom sofas, armchairs, textiles, and décor. Each element was selected in close collaboration with the clients, ensuring their vision was brought to life in a way that feels both personal and timeless.
The result is a retreat that reflects thoughtful design, quality craftsmanship, and the beauty of collaboration. by @cassisdesignstudio

When people think about window design, they usually think about the big ones.

The dramatic walls of glass.
The floor-to-ceiling windows.
The views that immediately catch your attention.

But some of the most important windows in a home are often the smallest.

At our Bigwin Cottage project, every window was intentionally placed—not just to shape the exterior architecture, but to improve how the home feels and functions from the inside.

A bedroom window positioned beside the bed creates balance and frames views beyond. Clerestory windows above the primary vanity bring natural light deep into the room while preserving valuable wall space. Kitchen windows were carefully coordinated with cabinetry, appliances, and workspaces to ensure daylight arrives exactly where it's needed.

Great design isn't about adding more glass.

Large windows create memorable views. Thoughtfully placed smaller windows shape the daily experience of living in a home.
