✨SPOOKY SEPTEMBER READS✨

Here are four books I would recommend if you are looking for something to start the fall and Halloween spirit!

📖The Southern Book Clubs Guide To Vampire Slaying: vampires and drama and dark secrets. This is such an entertaining read!

📖Wait Till Helen Comes: one of my all time favorite horror stories. This is definitely a bit more YA but it brings ghosts, atmosphere, and a quick read!

📖The Outsider: dark and unsettling with crime fiction. This book was creepy! Make sure you keep the lights on when reading this.

📖The Sundown Motel: one of my top favorites last year! Entertaining ghost story and eerie. by @casuallyreadingx

Rating: 4.25🌟
Genre: Horror + Mystery
Format: Physical + Audio~ Thank you @prhaudio for the #gifted copy! 🧡🎧 #prhaudiopartner

This book was a mix of beautiful, complex characters, classic horror, and entertainment. 🥰Once I started this, I couldn’t put it down. The audio was fantastic. The narrator, Pete Cross, added dimension to the story so I highly recommend listening to it! Even though I did not agree with everything the characters did, I understood why they did things and how the niece/uncle duo complemented each other. They were a loveable duo and in the end, I really enjoyed them. I do think the overall story was predictable and quite the slow burn, which is not always a bad thing! This isn’t just a bloodbath of a book with vampires, it really explores grief, love, revenge, and the path of vulnerability. If you enjoyed the movie SINNERS, then add this one to your TBR!

This would be an awesome film! 🎥🍿

What to expect:
🧛🏼Family dynamics + emotion + vengence
🧛🏼Multiple POVs + Flawed characters
🧛🏼1970s era
🧛🏼Gore + gritty + grief
🧛🏼Vampires + Small town

Esta sería una película genial! taken in Denver, Colorado by @casuallyreadingx

Well this was a bummer 😩

Where was the slasher part because the only part we got was in the past history??? I thought that Tom was a well-rounded character, compared to others but other than that, this felt like a character study about a Deputy in a small town. The politics of the book was odd, the romance was odd, and there was no camp. The slasher aspects were grazed by and things never really felt wrapped up. And that unnecessary romantic part? Get out. It brought nothing to the story.

What to expect:
