POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

Bookstagram has not only brought me amazing book recommendations, but it’s also brought me the best friends a girl could ask for!

So excited to be celebrating my bestie @casuallyreadingx for her and her fiancé’s joint bachelor/bachelorette where all the MAIN CHARACTER energy will be present.

Me and my Fiance have been super close to her and her Fiance, our own found family book trope 🫶

Do you have some friends you’re so glad you’ve met on bookstagram?

Happy Friday ❤️‍🔥

Currently reading:
- The God of the Woods (literary mystery)
- A Killing Cold (thriller)

The latter is my first fiction listen on audiobook and I have mixed thoughts about audio 🤭👀

What are you reading this weekend?

The Reader’s Challenge🦋
Thank you to my book bestie @chelseaschapters_ for the tag!💜
I tagged a few book besties, but if you see this and want to try it considered yourself tagged🖤

What genre do you normally read?
- I’m a thriller and romance girly!!!! 🖤💓 I love thriller books more but I can always use a good cry! Deff want to dip into fantasy soon tho but I’m just not ready!!

What time do you normally read?
- I usually read before bed. If I’m really loving the book I will stay up all night if I have too🤣

In what format do you prefer to read?
- Welll I recently got a kindle and I do love it but nothing will compare to a paperback book in my hands! 📖

Do you listen to music while you read?
- Nope! I cannot focus if anything is in the background noise! I need peace and quiet.🤫

What reasons would you DNF a book?
- I never used to DNF books but recently I’ve decided why freaking not?? Reading should be fun and if I’m bored and forcing myself to read it’s gonna be a no for me. If the book is just straight up boring and has no good plot I will DNF.

What is the fastest you have finished a book?
- Literally finished The Last Housewife by Ashley Winstead in 9 hours. My fav book of all time.

An absolutely stunning installation at the new @petalsandpagesofdenver bookstore, flower shop, bakery and home of good vibes! 🩵

Yesterday was their grand reopening, and I had so much fun browsing books and catching up with friends!! I’m so so happy to have found this space and community. Dylah, Emily and the rest of the team are great people with such an awesome vision, and it’s been amazing to see it all come to life. They’re gonna get real tired of seeing my face. 😉

If you’re near Denver (or visiting soon), absolutely go check them out!

[ID: Slide 1- an installation of open books glued to the wall, with flowers and vines interspersed. Slide 2- The book, Cantoras, sits on a bed next to a petals and pages sticker, a frosted cookie and a sticker of an open book with a sunflower with an oscar wilde quote: “ with freedom, flowers, books, and the moon, who could not be perfectly happy?”

The Reader’s Challenge 🫶🏻

I was tagged by the adorable @what.cece.read! If you see this, consider yourself tagged!

•What genre do you normally read?
I started out reading mostly horror and thrillers. For the last year or so, I’ve been reading a lot for fantasy. I still love my fantasies but I do I wanna get back into my creepier books. So I can’t really pick just one genre!

•What time do you normally read?
Usually after work in the evening if I’m not too tired.

•In what format do you prefer to read?
Paperback for sure! Especially if it’s a longer story - I looooove a floppy book.

•Do you listen to music while you read?
Nope. I can’t focus cause I’ll be trying to sing the lyrics at the same time as I’m reading lol. It’s either silence, brown noise, or rain sounds!

•What reasons would you DNF a book?
Unlikeable main character, really poor decision making by the characters, and minimal plot.

•What is the fastest you have finished a book?
Two days. I wish I was one of those people that can stay in the same spot all day and start/finish a book, but I’m just not haha.

Anyway, I wanted to shout out my two incredibly talented friends, @thehardcoverclub and @casuallyreadingx ! Not only do they make the cutest bookmarks, but they are also amazingly sweet people. Y’all picked em, now (hopefully) I’ll read em!

I did an awful job sticking to this this year, but I’m feeling hopeful for 2024. My friends gave me a great line up!

Along with these I’m going to actively try to read one of @haylee.reads diverse recs from her post at least every other month!

Looking forward to a great year of good reads 📚
