Built around fire, wild garlic and maitake mushrooms straight from the BBQ.

Brushed over maitake on the BBQ.

What do chefs eat? Family Meal, Ep. 1 – De Kas!

For family meal today: shrimp Pad Thai and grilled bok choy.

De Kas was the first restaurant I visited in Amsterdam, and also one of the first Michelin-starred restaurants I visited in my life.
As a vegetable-focused restaurant that grows its own produce in its garden, I was curious to see what they eat for family meal.

I had the pleasure of meeting head chef Cláudio Catalão who made my visit so warm and made me feel very welcome.

To be honest, this is a nice closure for me. I arrived in Amsterdam as a nobody, dreaming of working with chefs in these kitchens, and here we are today.

Thanks for having me guys 🙏🏽
