full circle moment one week ago: @medicalmedium signing the very first (of many) MM book i purchased, Thyroid Healing. what it meant for @medicalmedium to sign the book i clung so hard to in the deepest, darkest parts of my illness is beyond this world. this book was my leap of faith towards true healing with @medicalmedium and purchasing this book was the best decision i have ever made for my health. mahalo a million times over AW and SoC.

started from the bottom, now i’m here.

today marks my 3 year anniversary applying @medicalmedium healing information. needless to say, this is an extra special anniversary for me because i just returned from the @medicalmedium Heavy Metal Detox Smoothie launch event in LA. looking back at where i started with @medicalmedium information makes me emotional and full of gratitude for SoC and @medicalmedium and this journey. where I started was so debilitating and i felt hopeless. it felt like i would never be able to leave mattress island. and look at me now - 3 years into applying @medicalmedium information and i flew on a plane to LA and enjoyed the entire event on my feet, meeting so much of the @medicalmedium community, sharing my own healing story, enjoying the rest of my trip, and flew back home. never did i think in the throws of my illness that this would be possible.

mahalo @medicalmedium for continuing to help me rise from the ashes. 3 years in and so many of my symptoms are gone. one example of that - i started with 2 nodules on my right thyroid. the first photo was taken right after the biopsies of those nodules in 2021. as of today, i now have only one nodule remaining with this one getting smaller every year that passes. this is just one of my many symptoms that are healing or have healed.

@medicalmedium signing my Thyroid Healing book (my very first MM book) this past weekend was a full-circle moment and the best way to celebrate my 3-year anniversary on this journey.

05/09/2021 was my last surf since getting sick. i often wonder if i’ll ever be able to get back out there again - to have the strength to carry my board into and out of my car, walk my board down and up Diamond Head trail, paddle in and out of sets, and stand atop waves again. chronic illness is learning to live in uncertainty and grieving the old while standing in the midst of a new, limited reality. no one understands this more than those who are living with chronic illness.

i’ve taken a long hiatus from social media to better focus on my healing. many ups and downs. as @medicalmedium always says, healing is 3 steps forward and 2 steps back. since may 2021, i have healed the bulk of my most debilitating symptoms (e.g. daily fevers, thyroiditis, heart palpitations, body aches and pains, chest pain, intense fatigue, being bed-bound) with @medicalmedium information. truly a journey of miracles. i am so eternally grateful to @medicalmedium and SoC.

my journey continues healing my eczema, thyroid nodule, and adrenals. it’s amazing to experience and witness the shrinking of my symptom list. there are the more stubborn symptoms that are teaching me patience, consistency, faith, and not to be attached to outcomes and to flow with whatever arises. one of the beautiful aspects of @medicalmedium information is that it is totally customizable for your ever-changing body and needs. so, i’m learning to shift gears as my body sojourns and to surrender to this healing journey.

one morning in april 2021 while doing yoga, i flexed my neck back in cobra pose when i felt a strange sensation in my throat. thought nothing of it for a few weeks until that throat sensation became more and more pronounced during my yoga practice. i felt a small lump in my throat area and decided to call my doctor. then the rest was history…
.
i didn’t know or wasn’t following @medicalmedium at that time and had no idea the journey that was awaiting me after that first doctor visit. “i’m healthy” i thought while in the waiting room. “i do everything right. i’m active. i exercise. i eat the right things,” i assured myself as my doctor inspected the lump in my throat area. i thought i had everything figured out.
.
turns out i didn’t. i fell into so many of those trendy traps. i was actually living on borrowed time. looking back after following a @medicalmedium lifestyle for 10 months now, i am amazed that i didn’t fall debilitatingly ill sooner. the body withstands so much destruction before it starts coming apart at the seams. @medicalmedium information revealed to me how truly wondrous and resilient our bodies really are.
.
@medicalmedium saved my thyroid. i was given choices to surgically remove my nodule, remove my right thyroid, and/or be on thyroid treatments the rest of my life. none of those answers felt intuitively right to me. thank you forever, @medicalmedium for this life-saving information.
.
this photo was taken last month during an ultrasound of my thyroid nodule. huge differences between the me in this photo and the me one year ago getting this same ultrasound- the me last year was desperate for answers and fearful about my worsening condition, so many of my debilitating symptoms have since disappeared, and the me in this photo is strengthened and fortified with @medicalmedium information.
.
my journey of miracles continues. 🙏🏻

it began small in november 2021, 5 months into my @medicalmedium lifestyle and healing path. an oblong patch of red bumps started to cluster on the lower half of my right index finger. it fluctuated between feeling torturously itchy to an annoying burning sensation. then began the cracking. then the patches were spreading like wildfire to my other fingers, my whole hand, and to my other hand. the patches grew into colonies then into whole countries spreading past my wrists toward my elbows. it was too bad for me to look at and i couldn’t bring myself to photograph it. i was reminded of a brief time when i suffered from a “weird bout of rash or dermatitis” when i was a teenager. then came my “aha” 💡 moment…
.
“a skin condition such as eczema or psoriasis normally isn’t a quick reaction to a food just eaten. like chemical sensitivities, it’s more of a slow build, which means that it can make itself known at any time…truth is, the dermatoxins causing your skin flare-up took time to be produced and released up through the skin.” - @medicalmedium from Liver Rescue
.
i was so focused on my hypothyroid and thyroid nodule that this emergence of eczema came as a complete surprise…at first. now that i better understand what was happening to my body from @medicalmedium information, this was not a surprise at all.
.
i clearly am struggling with EBV given my current thyroid issues. i now realize i have likely been battling EBV most of my life after remembering that i had this type of “rash” before (but not to this extent). EBV was waiting and wishing for this moment to proliferate after my immune system took a hit from a new medical treatment.
.
thank god for these “aha” moments 💡 on this @medicalmedium journey. one would think i’d lose total faith and blame the @medicalmedium cleanses for this newish symptom. but it really wasn’t new. it was waiting. and that’s ok, because i’m ready to take this on and heal. the “aha” moments strengthen my faith and signal that i’m on the right path.

this photo was taken on my last long bike ride. over the last few years, i became an avid runner, cyclist, and surfed at sunrise almost every weekend. all the while, unbeknownst to me, my immune system was engaged in a deeper battle to keep me as active as i was. during the time i was active until i got hit by the tidal wave of my illness, there were warning signs along the way that i wasn’t as “healthy” as i thought i was. warning signs in the form of “small, inconsequential” symptoms (i would call them) - chronic neck pain, stomach pain especially when i ate gluten, headaches, TMJ. i shrugged them off with acupuncture, massage, physical therapy (because my doctor said it was because i’m a runner and have a desk job), a high-fat pescatarian GF diet, yoga, and even a bed of needles.
.
.
then, i received a new medical treatment that pushed my immune system off a cliff and into Hashimoto’s thyroiditis. the pathogens silently kept at bay suddenly had no gate guard from my immune system anymore and they made a run for my thyroid, nerves, and other vulnerable body systems. i was down for the count.
.
.
now, at 19 weeks on @medicalmedium , i am slowly regaining more of my life. i haven’t returned to the pavement 🏃🏻‍♀️ 🚴 or the ocean 🏄🏻‍♀️ yet. But, the fatigue has significantly decreased, thyroid inflammation and pain are gone, heart palpitations gone, hair loss gone, fevers and body temperature fluctuations gone, and so much more. i’m taking it one day at a time appreciating all the big and small victories along the way. so grateful for @medicalmedium and the #medicalmediumcommunity 🙏🏻

#medicalmedium #thyroidhealing #thyroidnodule #thyroidhealth #hashimotothyroiditis by @catchhealings

in may 2021, i began to experience, for the first time in my life, a debilitating illness - a thyroid nodule and hashimoto’s thyroiditis.
.
.
my first post to this IG account listed all of the symptoms i was experiencing at that time. i was divinely guided to @medicalmedium during a time when i was in the thick of all my symptoms. i was prescribed a steroid medication to bring down the elevated, painful inflammation i was experiencing on the right-side of my thyroid. i began @medicalmedium thyroid rehab right after i completed my 2-week steroid treatment. my steroid treatment provided temporary relief of my symptoms; however, because my immune system was suppressed by the treatment, i believe it ultimately made my condition worse. the inflammation moved to the left side of my thyroid and i experienced a higher degree of symptoms thereafter.
.
.
the first 4 weeks on @medicalmedium thyroid rehab was the toughest thus far. i barely had the energy to make my lemon water and celery juice but did every day with couch breaks every 5-10 minutes. my appetite was nonexistent at the time, but forced myself to eat healing foods whenever i was awake (the fatigue was unlike anything i experienced). i started with 16 oz. of lemon water and celery juice, then began increasing my celery juice to 32 oz. and slowly adding the other healing elements of choice c of thyroid rehab as i had the strength and energy. needless to say, i didn’t come out of the gate roaring into @medicalmedium. i started slow and steady.
.
.
one notable physical change within the 4 weeks of starting @medicalmedium was my weight. i was 128 lbs on may 6, and dropped to 114 lbs by july 9. 🤯 my doctor attributed it to my fluctuating hypo-/hyper-thyroid status. with @medicalmedium, i knew better and began to understand what was happening to me and why.
.
.
i’m new to the #medicalmedium community with going-on 10 weeks under my belt. the #medicalmediumcommunity is so inspiring. others have been on the @medicalmedium journey for years! that inspires me to continue. and i will continue. i feel too good not to. grateful every day for this path. 🙏🏻 by @catchhealings

i wasn’t always sick. i wasn’t always well either.

before my chronic illness, i thought i had it all figured out: ate mostly vegan and salmon on the weekends; became an avid runner, biker, and surfed at sunrise; and deeply engaged in healing my trauma body and inner child, and learning how to modulate my nervous system with a variety of healing modalities. looking back, if i had been more in my body and paid closer attention, i was not physically well and there were warning signs all along the way, signs that my body was getting sicker as days passed. i didn’t have it figured out after all.
.
.
of all the things in my life i was healing and elevating, my career was the last item i shifted. i was still working more than i felt i should and knew i had stretched myself thin over all the years i hustled, bled, sweat, and cried over my work. not only did my spirit pay the price, my body did. i had such a deep attachment to work. my purpose and self-worth were tied to achievement. i look back at this photo of me, taken just before i received one of the highest performance awards of my career thus far, with a question of “was it worth it?”
no. it wasn’t.
.
.
now, with chronic illness, everything in my life is so much clearer (ironically). pain forces me in the present. there’s no avoiding it or running from it. it is ever-present. my chronic illness forces me to “sit down”, be with my pain, connect to myself, and be in the silence. i am deeply grateful for this teacher.
.
.
i have been on #medicalmedium protocols for 8 weeks now using food as my medicine! i will post more about my journey and how blown away i am! 🤯 as @medicalmedium always says, this healing journey of the body is also a healing journey of the soul. so grateful to have received this guidance. 🙏🏻 so grateful to @medicalmedium and the #medicalmedium community.
