Divisionals 2026

What a delightfully crazy week, with an intensely dedicated, thoroughly enjoyable crew. I loved working with you all!

Hot take:

Championship season means falling and failing, along with tops and success. Are you practicing how to deal with missed zone holds, a dropped top or foot slips? Practice how you want to compete not only in times of success, but also in the struggle. How do you rebound mentally after failure?

Boulder Regionals⚡️

What an awesome crew to have for my first Regionals chiefing. As I get into a decade of this routesetting thing, the more I realize I love it because of the people. I get to work with so many amazing humans, towards this end goal where we get to watch kids be creative, solve problems, and try hard. What a privilege.

Thank you💙 @camdantheclimbingman @thewaronjugs @rashadtt @daphne.spani @esja.m

Also thank you to @bscorpiio and @brock_climber who helped set up after a long rope regionals next door!

We are excited to host guest route setting team Cate Beebe and Daphne Spani from Bend Endurance Academy. They are hard at work with the High Steppe crew getting ready for this weekend’s USAC youth climbing competition.

Come cheer on the top youth climbers in the PNW on Saturday, 1/10. Better yet - volunteer! We need your help with judging & belaying. Use the Sign Up Genius link posted on our HSCC calendar.

Questions? Please reach out: info@highsteppeclimbing.com

Please note: High Steppe will be closed on Saturday so we can host the competition. We will open for normal business hours on Sunday. by @cate.climbs
