Ceramic Woodfire artist based in Toronto firing along the east coast ..work available at the Gardiner Museum of Ceramic Art .. Chasing those flames

POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

What drives me forward? Through the grinding of kiln floor . Prepping wood stacking bush cords ,sourcing planks ,cutting down trees that could catch a spark ., checking weather patterns oh and making enough work to full #byrd ..I am lucky to have an incredible group of people that want to undertake this with me .... It’s always about noticing a pattern from the last firing and building to capture those results again..there are so many variables in a wood fire kiln this is not an easy ask but it’s what always brings me back to this very labour intensive but magic way of chasing dreams!! It’s the hope and the possibility that calls me back every time 🔥🔥🔥here we go again #byrd #teamwork #woodfiredceramics # ceramic art by @catherine.thomas28
