Ten more favorites from Sundance. I had the best time and I hope you enjoy the photos as much as I did making them.

My goal going in? (Same as it always is): Plan a lot, have ideas, and then let it all go. Play. Meet the person and the moment. It’s a dance. Observe. Create work that feels like me AND my subject. Most of all have fun.

For @thewrap at @sundanceorg

Finally sharing the Super 8 footage I took at @sundanceorg 2025 in my photo studio for @thewrap - want to share more here about me and the work behind the work. And the fun we have on set! It’s amazing to me now that I found the time to get a little super 8 - in general I had about 3 mins per person. It was such a fun experience - looking forward to doing it again ;)

Featuring Finn Wolfhard in a dark corner at the very end, Cary Mulligan, @timkeypoet @tom.basden, @joeledgerton making shadow puppets, @christophermeyer, @tdotsteph of the film Ricky having fun clowning with me, @treaclychild and @katarina.zhu being gorgeous, fellow Austinite @austinamelio and @gkwedar, and @himeshjpatel,

With help from John D. and @balladofwallis Director @griffter71 who captured his cast on Super 8 while I photographed them all.

The beginning of a new project with young women who also happen to be Eagle Scouts. Jane, 18, at home, on Portra 400.

Know a soon-to-be girl Eagle or recent Eagle? Please connect me.

Jane, 18, in her room.

I miss posting just one photo. No pressure, no music, and a real chance for people to see it. So here’s one photo from a new series I just started - maybe spend a little longer with just the one. And are we supposed to do hashtags or key words or both? Someone fill a girl in. Plus, one photo is a much better teaser for this killer set.

Perfect summer in Rensselaerville, NY at my @hilltown.commons residency and the perfect dinner invite and the perfect swimming pond and the perfect cohort and the perfect people.

#artistresidwncy #catskills #Rensselaerville #selfportrait by @cathlin.mccullough

One year ago I was an artist in residence at @hilltown.commons and for a working parent two weeks felt like a dream and such a gift and also not nearly long enough. I made myself make some self portraits because I was taking photos of the other artists and people in Rensselaerville, NY, and that meant me too. It’s a good practice I always mean to do more of and I always put off. Sometimes I hold on to things to keep them all mine for a while. One year out, I can say this residency was such a boost to my creativity during a hard year. It was also a damn good time. There aren’t many residencies that offer flexibility for parents - Thanks KC! Where should I do my next residency? Def going back to R’ville.

Elon Musk for the Economist
I was asked to photograph behind-the-scenes of @zannymintonbeddoes interview with Elon Musk, and was told that he was unlikely to do a portrait, but I should try. When I arrived his team told me he was unlikely to do a portrait, that he almost never says yes. Thank you @krishnasheth for trusting me - I love a challenge. In the end I got maybe 5 minutes.

Finally recapping the amazing experience that was @_credo23_ a film festival that believes artists matter. No Ai, and grants for every filmmaker. Thank you @_justinebateman_ and @mikerelm and @reedmorano for all your hard work and generosity!

Also took the opportunity with @yasmeenmagar to make photos together for fun and the @hollywood.legion.theater was the best backdrop to the whole weekend.
