Cold and sunny .. fabulous … it’s now cold enough to wear my jumper that I finished during the heatwave!! ♥️🧶☀️@cleome_smith_knits the basic pullover , a lovely pattern. Yarn is Drops Alpaca & wool mix. The brooch is a little find in Lyme Regis, local jewellery maker that recycles old silver. by @cathysewsstuff

Scary sewing this morning! Two zipped pockets for a jacket. Very visible if you muck it up! The Burda pattern instructions are rubbish so I watched a YouTube video and did a little practice version. (Pic 7) thank goodness as I did this wrong! Anyway I’m really chuffed with results. Last pic is a Vinted parcel I received today.. with a message and pressies. Very lovely, unexpected, and made me smile. The fabric is gorgeous and of course it’s magenta!! by @cathysewsstuff

Finally finished this cross body bag/ rucksack that’s been half done amongst my @southseasewn projects for months! It’s a mash up of fabrics and scraps that go together. The pattern irritated me .. too many words! I kept getting lost where I was. Anyway hopefully a useful festival bag?! 👍🧵 by @cathysewsstuff

Shopping my own fabric cupboard! I finally chopped into this gorgeous blue linen from @fabworksmillshop ♥️👍 I’ve had my eye on this pattern for a while, some really nice versions of this. #snowtoppattern

Added some scraps of fabric. Used scraps for the ties as well.

Had to call in the professionals for my home-made weaving frame as my first attempt sort of collapsed! ( pic 8 🙄😄) Thank you @richaf ♥️ So while that is drying I finished this dress. Another #fibremoodpetula Gorgeous Amy Butler print, someone’s destash off Vinted. Tweaks this time were slightly lower front neckline and extra height on back shoulder. by @cathysewsstuff

What a lovely weekend. Bit of camping and a bit of sewing! 👍🌟 I’ve had this fabric in my cupboard since 2020. Definitely time to cut into it! I’ve had a good old sort out and am now have plans for most of my fabrics! I’m not sure what this fabric is .. it’s like a stiff cotton lawn .. creases like crazy though. Pattern is from a Japanese sewing book and one of my favourite patterns. Dress E if anyone has this book. #sewover50july @sharesewover50 by @cathysewsstuff
