- I didnt even realize till I was sitting in a forest in a thunderstorm sobbing my fucking eyes out asking for 20 womxn to tell me everything was going to be okay
Was HOW CONDITIONED I AM
without even realizing it and the reason it took me so long to walk away from a life that didnt serve me
Plus now having the hindsight of what childhood and abandonment with get you to do for a tablespoon of love not worthy of the feast you bring to the table.

I read a story a few years ago about a mother who lost her twin suns to gun violence..... this is a way of me restoring them to her...she doesn't know me and i dont remember her name...
reading about the pain of another mother, a child...
I feel it so immensely since I became a mother, as if I was cracked completely open and stuffed full of all the feelings of the pain another mother could experience..
I protect myself from it now, I can't afford to lose anymore sleep than I already do as a mother to young children....

But all of those real stories, just aches me to my core- I feel everything-

Most often I feel like a dynamite stick of helplessness connected to a wick of rage...

Painting her, restored her to her children in the only way i could possibly try, whom were born from her body, her blood, her love...

WIP🫶PT.2. I went home for lunch and took a tiny nap in the middle of this one and the temp went from 45 to 65 hence the change in clothes

This horse is supposed to have a horse girl but I dont know where to put her- suggestions will probably be ignored lol

Alsoooooo this another experimental style I want to explore- sort of rough contemporary patchwork vibe

🔥✨️WIP✨️🔥 good Ole new fashioned Contemporary style western Commission started for @tabithanlogsdon - she won the raffle back in July---
I told her once i got established in my new studio id get her painting started
Yes. This looks like shit right now but hold your foreshadowing kentucky horses
Im building layers to for depths and textures on the back ground and what i like to call
'freehanded screw-up mapping' lol..
where I essentially make a gazillion mistakes and then slowly correct them until completion

So I wanted to talk about what's next...
But not before I run joyous loving laps around my dream of owning my own studio on Main Street in Campbellsville Kentucky named after my children... designed playfully with mother's and children in mind... a third space , a multifunctional art studio to others... magic to me...
I've done exactly what I set out to do..
This was a labor of love
There are no sad tears to this ending...
⭐️
I was committed to serving my children,
my community and myself all in one place
.. and I have done exactly that.
⭐️
I dreamed of being in this building in 2017 after meeting the owner- it's majestically 100+ years old
Rough around the edges but internally beautiful just like me.😊. I love this building.
I love all the people who have supported me and this wild endeavor from the beginning- and the ones I met in the middle who have become life long friends.
Grateful 👏🏽Grateful 👏🏽Grateful
But
Now its almost time to leave...
Not today lol
Today im just uninstalling my own art for the High School Comprehensive Exhibit installation tonight
- that exhibit is free to the public. Family friendly and all ages ✨️🙌🏽✨️
But
in a couple months the doors will open to something else and will close to @honestandfreestudio will be with me in my tiny Lil Kentucky heart,
as of this moment i have zero plans on opening another space- my heart is set on traveling in pursuit of art and to find opportunities across the world - Louisville is the next place I'll call home but I hope to visit everywhere.... closing dates and flash sales & good byes days will be posted soon enough... Mid May-ish🫶
