Friendly reminders to our community from the Cats of Brixton Place. Thank you for your support and understanding! by @catsofbxp

Did you know? A single unspayed female cat and her offspring can produce over 2,000 kittens in just 4 years! This staggering fact demonstrates the exponential growth of the stray cat population and the urgent need to manage it through Trap-Neuter-Vaccinate-Return (TNVR).

TNVR has been practiced worldwide for decades, including in Metro Manila’s Ortigas Center and Bonifacio Global City.

The Cats of Brixton Place are proud advocates of TNVR, alongside other resident-led cat community volunteer groups across DMCI Homes properties, each running their own TNVR programs. DMCI Homes has supported community cat management efforts, promoting the continuation of humane and sustainable TNVR practices.

👉 Join us in supporting TNVR and help us create a healthier, safer, and more harmonious environment for our feline friends. Every action counts in reducing overpopulation and ensuring the well-being of our community cats. Let’s continue this vital work together! #TNVR #CatCommunityCare #SupportTNVR by @catsofbxp

🐾 KEN HAS FINALLY FOUND HIS FUREVER HOME! 🏠❤️

Ken’s adoption story took a little longer—but it was worth the wait. 🥹

Karen had been interested in adopting Ken for months. But because she already has an FIV-positive cat, Ken’s initial test results were a concern. He tested positive for both FIV and FeLV, and if he had tested negative for FeLV, Karen would have welcomed him home right away.

Then came Niki’s story. After his initial FeLV-positive result, an RT-PCR test showed that he was actually negative. It gave us hope that perhaps Ken deserved the same chance.

So we decided to test Ken too. With the help of everyone who donated, we were able to bring him to PPBCC last weekend for an RT-PCR test.

And thankfully, Ken’s RT-PCR confirmed that he was FeLV-negative. He remained FIV-positive, but with only a weak reaction. ❤️

Today, after months of waiting, Ken is finally going home with Karen! 🥹🏠🐱

Ken’s story is a reminder that sometimes, an initial test result doesn’t have to be the end of the road. It may take more questions, further testing, patience, and a little help from the community—but sometimes, that extra step can open the door to a forever home.

To everyone considering adopting a community cat: don’t be afraid to ask questions, learn about their needs, and explore your options. Every cat deserves a chance, and sometimes they just need someone willing to take that extra step. ❤️

Thank you to Karen for waiting for Ken, to everyone who donated for his RT-PCR test, and to everyone who supported him along the way.

After everything he’s been through, Ken finally gets the happy ending he deserves. 🐾❤️

Welcome home, Ken! 🏠🥹 by @catsofbxp

🐾 Meet G-Dragon! 🐾

@catsofkapitolyo 's G-Dragon is a familiar visitor at Brixton Place, often dropping by at night for an extra serving of food. He used to be very aloof, but lately, he’s been warming up to people and even hanging out with Buboy and Demi at the Weston lobby. ❤️

After several failed attempts to secure him for kapon and vaccination, we finally got him just in time. He had been experiencing colds and coughing for the past few weeks and is now confined at the vet for treatment. 🏥

He’s recovering well and already neutered. He will be fully vaccinated before he’s cleared for discharge.

💙 G-Dragon’s vet bills may reach ₱13,000+.

We’re asking for your help to get him through his treatment. Any amount helps! 🙏 Scan the QR codes to donate and help G-Dragon get back on his paws. 🐾

Thank you for caring for our community cats! ❤️

Thank you for always having their backs! 🙏❤️ by @catsofbxp

🐾 Sometimes, all a community cat needs is someone willing to take a chance. ❤️

When Mic first reached out, it was simply to sponsor Niki’s food and medical check-up after regularly seeing him in the basement parking.

Eventually, Mic decided to adopt Niki. But because Mic already had a cat at home, Niki needed to be checked first.

After his vet visit and vaccinations, Niki tested positive for FeLV. It would have been understandable to give up at that point but Mic didn’t.

Instead, Mic consulted their vet, who recommended an RT-PCR test for a more definitive result. The test was costly, so Mic saved up for it. While waiting, one of our wonderful neighbors stepped up to foster Niki, keeping him safely isolated and giving him the care he needed.

When the time came, Niki was tested again.

Thankfully, he tested negative for both FIV and FeLV. 🥹❤️

And just like that, Niki finally went home with Mic. 🏠🐱

✨ Niki’s story reminds us that the first hurdle doesn't always have to be the end of the story.

Our community cats may come with uncertainties. Some may be sick, older, scared, or have medical concerns. But sometimes, they just need someone willing to ask questions, seek advice, and take one more step.

Mic took that chance on Niki, and today, Niki has a forever home.

To our potential adopters: Don’t be afraid to take a chance. You might just be the person who changes a cat’s entire life. ❤️

And to Niki’s foster, thank you for opening your home when he needed it most. Your kindness helped make this happy ending possible. 🥹🐾

Congratulations, Niki! You’re finally home. ❤️🏠
