🌸This morning we celebrated the Spring equinox (or astronomical Spring) which is actually tomorrow. There was a fresh northerly which could have destroyed our floral headpieces given the choppy waves but instead just resulted in a bit of sogginess. Submergers are not deterred by cross chop and wild conditions however. There was vigorous wave jumping, occasional wipeouts and much hilarity. Such a great morning 🌸🧜‍♀️🌊🌸🧜‍♀️🌊

🌸A very mild Spring morning with a bit of a walk out to deeper water due to a low-ish tide. I could stand at the buoy this morning. Water was divine. Temp’s sitting between mid-12s and 13°C at the moment. More of this deliciousness please!☀️🌊🧜‍♀️

A glorious splash of colour with the Submerge Phillip Island crew in Cowes! 💛🌊

They’re already getting into the Daffodil Day Cold Plunge spirit, decked out in their bright yellow caps for our sunrise dip. There were stories shared, plenty of laughs, lots of selfies (of course!) and breakfast together afterwards at Water Boy Cafe (yum!).

What a joyful way to start the day on Sunday — good people, open water and a beautiful sunrise over the bay.

Thanks Cat and the whole Submerge crew for making us feel so welcome. We loved joining you and look forward to returning the favour when you come to Seaford! 💛

❄️Low tide meant we walked out to the buoy-friend today. Grey morning but nice conditions with a little flash of colour at sunrise. I think we may have seen the last of the coldest water temperatures for winter. This has been the easiest winter I’ve done: few wild nor’westerlies and fewer cold water days. Spring is only a couple of weeks away. Hard to believe.

Yep, it’s been a while since I’ve posted on a regular basis. I haven’t been on IG much at all for most of last year and this year except for posting stuff to the @submerge_phillipisland account.
