POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

What began as a few musicians connecting through Instagram DMs has quickly evolved into one of Las Vegas’ most compelling heavy bands.

In just over a year, Aethereal has released multiple projects, developed a sound all their own, and built a reputation for blending dreamy shoegaze textures with crushing metal intensity.

At the center of it all is vocalist and bassist Cheyenne Lizotte, whose vocals effortlessly shift from ethereal melodies to powerful screams.

But Aethereal’s newest EP, Rebirth, is more than just a collection of songs. Written during a period marked by burnout, mental health struggles, personal challenges, and self-reflection, the record explores what it means to confront pain, heal from it, and continue moving forward.

From feelings of being trapped and lost to finding self-worth and renewal, each track captures a different stage of that journey.

For Aethereal, growth isn’t something that happens once and ends. It’s an ongoing process, one that continues long after the music is released.

Third on the introduction list is our new Staff Writer, Caydie Tampac!

"I’m Caydie and I’m so excited to introduce myself as Insight Magazine’s newest staff writer! As a sophomore, I’m majoring in Journalism and minoring in Creative Writing. Naturally, I’ve always had a love for reading and writing and grew up reading magazines. In elementary school, I’d wait every month for the newest issue of my favorite magazine to ship to my house so I could binge read all day. Now, I’m making little me’s dreams come true by working with Insight Magazine, from writing articles as a volunteer last year to becoming the staff writer. I can’t wait to create more stories and share other people’s writing for everyone to read and admire!"

Keep an eye out over the next few days as we introduce some of the minds behind Insight this year! by @caydietampac

This is a quote from George Bernard Shaw, an Irish comic dramatist, literary critic, and socialist propagandist who lived 1856-1950.

Interesting things never just happen out of nowhere. You can’t sit around and wait for your life to begin, for opportunities to come. You need to make it happen. Take the first steps and forge your own path.

Molded the first letter of my name with playdoh since I always love keeping a sense of child-like wonder and whimsy wherever I go.

When learning about the effect of color can how it can symbolize and reflect our feelings, it put into perspective how something as simple as the color purple can calm everything.
