Cayeye (Abya Yala / Berlin) at Kultur Mosaik! 💃🏻

Straight from Berlin’s vibrant Latin music scene, Cayeye brings the energy of Salsa Brava to our stage! Made up of 10 musicians from Europe and Abya Yala, the band blends diverse backgrounds and influences into a powerful and irresistibly danceable sound.

Named after a beloved Caribbean plantain dish from Colombia, Cayeye celebrates community, joy and cultural fusion. Inspired by the golden era of 1970s Latin American music, their sound combines percussion, horn arrangements and tropical rhythms that get audiences moving from the very first note. Their live shows are a true celebration of rhythm, culture and connection.

Get ready to feel the heat as Cayeye sets the dance floor on fire! 😍🔥

Cayeye (Berlin) are a Salsa Brava and Cumbia 10-piece outfit from Berlin who are overflowing with pulsing, celebratory energy hearkening back to Latin America in the ‘70s and the prolific record labels such as Fania and Disco Fuentes pumping out surefire classics to get bodies moving. With @cayeye.live on the bill the vibe gets turned up immediately as crowds are provoked to dance by the generous percussion section’s tropical polyrhythms laying foundation for horns, strings, and syncopated vocals all raising up with bold spirit & melody. The party will be in good hands when this ensemble takes to stage and begins dishing out a wide spread of latin flavors for the lovely folks at the Good Good Festival 15:00 Saturday, 4 Juli at @cafebardots [...] for a @la_popular_kollektiv curated celebration! 🎫 TICKETS are Available at 🔗 Link in Bio and in-person at @vinyl.reservat & @meingoettingen 🎫 #GoodGoodFestival #CayeyeBerlin #WorldMusicFestival #Goettingen #LaPopularKollektiv 🎨 Art by @klekkso was used, animation by @creative.wanderers 🎭 taken in Dots by @cayeye.live

𓀤*:･ Cayeye, a dish originating in the Caribbean made with plantains and plenty of salsa, is a band of 10 members from Berlin that plays salsa brava. Just as its diverse ingredients turn cayeye into a sweet and widely loved dish in northern Colombia, the band plays warm, danceable sounds that recall the musical traditions of Latin America in the 1970s. Like the ingredients of the dish, the band’s sound is a blend of diverse flavors: The musicians bring together influences from Europe and Latin America to create a captivating musical experience on stage. The band formed in early 2022 and plays and improvises a broad range of Latin American salsa.
