Reintroducing myself as there a lot more of you here since my last introduction.

📚 I’m 44 from West of Scotland. I’ve been with my husband, Neil, for almost 20yrs, married for 8yrs

📚 I’m a cat mum to my gorgeous munchkin Beau.

📚 I mostly read crime/thrillers but I’ve just joined a book club so I’m sure I’ll be reading different types of books outwith my comfort zone. Currently reading my first ever Fantasy book.

📚 I’m definitely a homebody and love to be cosied up with a blanket, a book and Beau.

📚 I have pushed myself this year by attending more bookish events mostly solo which have all been fantastic. Next one is Bloody Scotland next weekend.

📚 I’ve made some fantastic friends through this community who love reading as much as me. It’s so nice to share such a solo hobby with you lovely lot.

📚 Addicted to True Crime in all formats; podcasts, TV shows, books etc

📚 I can do the alphabet and numbers in BSL and a few simple signs.

📚 Recently got my CIPP qualification for payroll which took a lot of studying and work but k got there. I’ve been doing payroll for around 4yrs now.

Love getting some extra reading time in whenever I can. A little train trip allowed me to squeeze in 50 more pages.

Picked this up at the new Waterstones in Silverburn at the weekend as it’s been on my radar for a while. Adding it to my November TBR.

Have you read this one?

Can’t resist a little free library so when hubby said there was one where he was making a delivery of course I had to have a peek.

Picked up these two books.

Perfect day with Beau snuggled up beside me while I read my latest book. Added some autumn aesthetics to make it cosy.

Currently reading The Curator by M.W. Craven. I’m about 50% through and loving it. Tilly and Poe are such a good duo, two of my fav book characters.

I’ve read 3 books so far this month and they have all been very different. The Idaho Murders is True Crime, The Lamb is Folk Horror and That’s Not My Name is YA.

I enjoy reading True Crime and YA (when it’s my genre) so I knew I’d like these books but
I’ve never read anything like The Lamb before and to be honest I still can’t decide if I enjoyed it or not.

Have you read any of these?

The new and improved Waterstones in Silverburn is now open so of course I had to pay it a visit. The shop looks so good and I love the layout. Fantastic displays and selection of books, definitely something for everyone.

Have you paid it a visit yet?

Great selection of books in The Works at the moment. Spotted some new additions, but it was my sister who was buying books this time not me. Can you believe it?!?

Seen this series everywhere and I can’t lie I adore the colourful covers but I haven’t read any of them yet. To be honest I’m not sure they’re my thing but they are gorgeous.
