Leadership is not simply about holding a position, it is about being positioned to serve, to learn, to build, and to uplift the community!

I am deeply honored and grateful for the opportunity to continue serving as 2nd Vice Chairperson of Brooklyn Community Board 16. I do not take this responsibility lightly. This opportunity allows me to continue learning from those around me, building alongside fellow leaders and community members, advocating for the needs of our district, and uplifting the people and families who make our community strong.

My heart remains especially committed to our young people, ensuring they are seen, heard, supported, and provided with opportunities and resources that allow them to thrive. When we invest in our youth, strengthen our families, and empower our neighborhoods, we strengthen our entire community.

A special thank you to our Brooklyn Borough President, Antonio Reynoso; Community Board 16 Chairperson, Margaret Brewer; and District Manager, Sydone Thompson, for the opportunity to continue learning, serving, and uplifting Community Board 16. I am grateful to serve alongside dedicated leaders and community members who remain committed to the growth, well-being, and advancement of our district!

This is more than a title. It is a responsibility, an assignment, and an opportunity to serve with purpose. I remain committed to showing up, doing the work, amplifying the voices of our community, and helping create pathways of opportunity for the next generation!

There is still work to do, and I am honored to be part of it. Together, we will continue to learn, build, serve, uplift, and move Community District 16 forward…..

In Service,

Nicole Williams
2nd Vice-Chairperson
Community Board 16
