Mr Mundubile shamelessly twisting scripture to validate his personal mandate.

I agree with Psalm 33:12, but the statement “the voice of the people is the voice of God” is not biblical.

Scripture actually warns us not to equate popular opinion with God’s will: “Do not follow the crowd in doing wrong” (Exodus 23:2). The crowd demanded Jesus’ crucifixion (Matthew 27:22), yet the crowd was clearly not speaking for God.

The biblical principle is not “the people speak, therefore God speaks,” but rather: “We must obey God rather than human beings” (Acts 5:29).

Many are the plans in a person’s heart, but it is the LORD’s purpose that prevails.”
Proverbs 19:21.

Popularity may reveal what people want. It does not necessarily reveal what God wants. Truth is measured by God’s Word, not by majority opinion.
