If you’re seeing this video, I’ve finally taken a holiday! ✈️

The night before involved some very late video editing and making sure everything was ready for my clients while I’m away.

Running a business makes it difficult to switch off completely, especially when you care so much about the work you deliver.

Everything is scheduled, the clients are looked after and now it’s time to recharge. 🌴

When things don’t quite go to plan ….

Myself and Nick @ccmediauk earlier in the year spent the day at @denbies_wine_estate filming lots of content to showcase everything the estate has to offer.

Of course, filming doesn’t always go smoothly—this video captures some of the moments that didn’t quite make the final cut!

As a small business owner, I believe that making mistakes is part of the journey.

What matters is how we respond to them:

What can we learn?

How can we improve?

How can we turn a negative into a positive?

Sometimes, the best thing you can do is laugh, try again and keep going.

That sense of fun is also a huge part of our @curatedbydapperandsuave events.

I love getting to know our independent businesses, chatting with customers, working alongside our brilliant team and genuinely enjoying the experience we create together.

Our events are about much more than shopping.

They’re about people, personalities, connections—& having plenty of fun along the way.

So, here’s your reminder that it’s absolutely okay to make mistakes.

Learn from them, embrace the unexpected and don’t forget to enjoy yourself!

Meet Phoebe from @phat.cat.crochet

Filmed by Nick from @ccmediauk at our Summer Market, Phoebe has been part of the Curated community since 2022—and has now joined us for an incredible 28 events!

From @dorkinghalls and @gildingsbarns to @denbies_wine_estate Phoebe always brings so much colour, creativity and joy to our markets.

Customers absolutely love her, and some arrive asking where Phoebe is before they have even started exploring!

Her stall is filled with a fabulous selection of colourful crocheted creations, all handmade and inspired by her wonderful imagination including Greggs sausage rolls.

You’ll often find Phoebe crocheting at her stall too, giving visitors the opportunity to watch her work, discover the skill behind each piece and hear the story of @phat.cat.crochet

Phoebe is always smiling, happy and a genuine joy to have at our events—often accompanied by her other half, Clancy @clancygilroygray

Our markets are about so much more than shopping.

They are about the amazing people behind the businesses: their skills, personalities, stories and the connections they create with our visitors and Phoebe represents everything we love about our @curatedbydapperandsuave community.

You may recognise Jakub @jakubdurian who has been part of our team at events including @syonparkestate and @denbies_wine_estate , helping to manage everything behind the scenes and keep our events running smoothly.

Jakub has now decided to step away due to the travel involved, particularly getting to the other side of London, alongside moving into a new home and balancing his job commitments.

It has been great working with Jakub, and we all wish you every happiness & success with everything ahead.

At our Summer Market, Nick from @ccmediauk caught up with Jakub to ask what he enjoys most about our @curatedbydapperandsuave by events—and unsurprisingly, it all came down to the wonderful people he has met along the way.

One of those people is the fabulous Sarah @sjs_fluffnstuff

Sarah has been exhibiting with us since 2021 and has now taken part in an incredible 20 Curated events, joining us @dorkinghalls @gildingsbarns Bar plus @denbies_wine_estate @syonparkestate

It really is all about the fluff!

Sarah brings her fantastic handmade creations to our events, and visitors can often watch her making them right there at her stall.

She has also expanded her creative talents into the world of millinery, making her collection even more exciting.

Sarah is an absolutely fantastic person to work with and such a wonderful part of our Curated community.

Top Tip and What’s in the Bag?

We’re back with another Top Tip from one of our @curatedbydapperandsuave brands, filmed at our Summer Market @denbies_wine_estate

This time we caught up with the Rachel @herbelara , who shared one of her tips for creating a calming bedtime routine recommending incorporating a calming skin ritual before bed — adding that little bit of extra self-care to your nighttime routine and helping you take some time to relax.
We all need a little bit of that?

Also grabbed Raquel in the corridor for a spontaneous “What’s in the Bag?”

🍊 Marmalade she won while supporting the @thetylerabdulfoundation raising awareness around suicide prevention and mental health.

If you’ve been to one of our markets, there’s a very good chance you’ve spotted Dan @aloftivisuals behind the camera… but this time we turned the camera on him! 🎥

At our Summer Market, Dan decided to make the most of our fabulous @facepaintingbysohaid and proudly had the Faroe Islands flag painted on his face. 🇫🇴

So, while he was sitting still for a few minutes Nick @ccmediauk thought to find out a little more about the man who captures so much of what happens at @curatedbydapperandsuave

🎥 What does Dan do?
He’s our videographer and photographer, capturing the people, businesses, atmosphere and all those little moments that make our markets what they are.

📸 How many markets has he filmed?
Dan reckons around 30… although just over 20 - seems more ….

🍪 What does he buy at practically every market?

Being vegan, Dan makes a beeline for the vegan cookies, cakes and treats from @homemaker_baker @ @bluetreekitchen

🤝 How did it all start?

Dan approached Jason on 31st March 2024 because he loved what we were creating and felt he could help us capture the real essence of the markets on film.

A conversation turned into a collaboration, and MANY markets later, he’s very much part of the Curated family.

@denbies_wine_estate & @syonparkestate including Photo shoots and with @dappersuave with the last one in Brick Lane capturing what he does best.

That really sums Dan up — brilliant at what he does, always up for getting involved and never taking himself too seriously.

Because our events aren’t just about shopping.

They’re about the people, the personalities, the connections… and having some fun along the way.

Dan certainly brings plenty of that! 🎥

Freddie came to supervise and honestly he had some great input. 🐾

We caught up with Liz @mcrpathways at our Summer Market to find out what had made its way into her @curatedbydapperandsuave shopping bag… and she’d certainly been busy shopping.

A brilliant tombola win while supporting the charity @thetylerabdulfoundation who joined us on the day!

There’s another reason we were delighted to welcome Liz along…

@mcrpathways will be our chosen charity at our Autumn Market (not fair 🤭🤣) @denbies_wine_estate on Sunday 18th October - 11am -4pm.

@mcrpathways is a youth mentoring charity supporting young people through the power of positive relationships and mentoring — something particularly close to my heart as I’m also becoming an MCR Pathways mentor too.

Liz was getting a little preview of what to expect in October, meeting some of our wonderful independent businesses plus naturally, doing a bit of shopping along the way - be rude not too!

We can’t wait to welcome @mcrpathways team properly in October and introduce more of you to the fantastic work they do - I’ll be sharing more and hoping to get more people involved.

The adventures of CuraTED continue

If you’ve been to one of our events, you may already have spotted a certain little bear making their way around… 👀

And, of course, CuraTed couldn’t miss our Summer Market on Sunday!

This time, they decided to go on their own adventure around the market, meeting some of our wonderful independent businesses — and being passed from one business to the next along the way!

From chocolate ,candles , jewellery , skincare, art, felting , fashion … even managed to squeeze in a little face painting and meet Elsa along the way!
