Happy to have rounded off this comp season with 8th place in the World Championships and 6th in the Europeans… I’ve learned a lot about my brain and body and have a lot more learning to come no doubt.

It’s always a highlight to share a space with such wonderful people and watch them all smashing out incredible climbing in such a wild environment - seeing @ewan_paraclimbing smash his first final and @abbie.paraclimbing @climbing_performance_coaching and @joannanewton2008 bringing home the metal for team GB was a cherry on top.

The bar is rising across the board and I’m excited to grind out some serious training with Jemma @latticetraining over the next few months and see where we end up next year 👀

Big thankyou always to the @gb_climbing coaches who put in the HOURS over this weekend.

British Para Champs @270climbing was so. Much. Fun.

A long day with the finest of folk, many new faces , great company and amazing routes.

Coming away with two tops, a solid effort in finals and a cheeky🥇 to finish it off was the cherry on top.

The beans are slowly returning 🥲

The aims for Innsbruck were to reclassify, turn up, and pull on.

A crazy busy 8 months and a couple of new hip issues meant less time training and more time trying to avoid full burn out 🥲

I’d absolutely be lying if I said I wasn’t disappointed in how I climbed yesterday and I wish I had more in the tank to make the most of those amazing routes.

BUT I didn’t run from it (definitely considered it!), got reclassified and got to climb with this amazing group of people which I am very lucky to be part of!

Yesterday marked 18 (!?!) years since the day I was diagnosed with that big old Ewings Sarcoma.

I haven’t really had many feelings about 7th March for a good while, but I think for a few reasons it’s felt a little raw and reflective this time round.
