Today, I had the opportunity to say goodbye to some truly incredible people, and it was more emotional than I expected.

There were hugs, tears, memories, laughter, and moments that reminded me just how much relationships matter. I said goodbye to staff, physicians, residents, and colleagues who became such an important part of my daily life and professional journey.

But I especially want to thank the amazing women I had the privilege of supervising.

Being their supervisor made me a better leader, but more importantly, it made me a better person. My goal was never simply to manage them. I wanted to encourage them, challenge them, support them, and remind them of what they were capable of becoming.

One of the greatest rewards of leadership is seeing people begin to believe in themselves at a higher level. Two members of my team were inspired to return to school, and next year they will graduate with their bachelor’s degrees. That means more to me than any title I have ever held.

Those are the moments I will remember.

Leadership is not just about productivity, performance, or meeting organizational goals. It is about helping people grow. It is about creating space for others to discover their confidence, their voice, and their potential.

I am deeply grateful to every person who allowed me to lead them, work beside them, learn from them, and laugh with them. I leave this chapter carrying countless memories and an even stronger belief in servant leadership.

As I move into what is next, I do so with gratitude, faith, and hope.

Titles change. Positions end. But the impact we have on people can last far beyond our time together. 🌱

Your voice can help improve culturally responsive PrEP services for Southern Black MSM.

I am conducting a doctoral research study titled Culturally Responsive PrEP Service Delivery and Adherence Among Southern Black MSM. This study will explore how cultural stigma, religious stigma, and culturally responsive PrEP service delivery are associated with PrEP use and self reported adherence.

You may be eligible if you:
• Identify as Black or African American
• Identify as a cisgender man
• Are 18 to 35 years old
• Have had sex with men
• Live in Georgia, Florida, Texas, or Louisiana
• Can complete an online survey in English

We are seeking a Legal, Compliance & Risk Management Representative to serve as a voting Board member.

Ideal candidates will bring experience in areas such as law, nonprofit governance, healthcare or public health compliance, enterprise risk management, contracts, privacy, ethics, insurance, or regulatory oversight. A Juris Doctor or legal background is highly desirable, but experienced compliance, privacy, ethics, governance, and risk professionals are also encouraged to apply.

We are looking for someone who can provide independent Board level judgment, identify organizational risk, review policies and agreements, and help RCI grow with strong governance and accountability.
