@ctdeathcollective first ever Death and Dying Symposium at @mattatuck_museum was a success! Thank you @katebagnati @ballen9292 @clguer13 @riverside_cemetery_ct @sara_tinnesz and all the other amazing women behind this event. So glad and honored to be apart of it.
I’ve watched this community start as a little seedling and now has branched out, reaching so many people. It is exciting to see where this is all heading.
The day was jam packed with so many cool speakers and workshops. We had people fly in from Georgia and North Carolina! I’m grateful I got to hear from people I’ve admired for a long time, and others I was not familiar with.

Hi all! I will be selling my art and wares at the Death and Dying Symposium! I am so excited that this has came to fruition. There are so many amazing speakers that will be there:

Ever Death & Dying Symposium: A day of reflection, education, and community
conversation around end-of-life care, remembrance, and legacy
WATERBURY, CT – The Mattatuck Museum, in collaboration with the Connecticut Death
Collective and Riverside Cemetery, will host its inaugural Death & Dying Symposium on
Saturday, April 25, from 8 AM to 7 PM. By bringing the community together for open,
thoughtful dialogue, the Death & Dying Symposium aims to normalize conversations
around mortality while preserving an important historic space.
This day-long event invites the public to explore themes of mortality, legacy, and
remembrance
through presentations, workshops, and community experiences, while supporting a vital
preservation effort. Proceeds from the symposium will benefit the restoration of Riverside
Cemetery’s historic chapel, which is in need of extensive renovations to ensure it can

First Living Funeral Ceremony of the year! Join me at @krumvillecommunity on March 29th to be laid to rest.

A Living Funeral Ceremony is a guided, immersive meditation that invites you to confront your own mortality in a structured and supportive space. We will go through a reflective writing ritual and a facilitated death visualization. Participants are often left feeling a greater appreciation for their daily lives and a sense of peace around dying.

An altar will be set within the space as a communal focal point for reflection and intention. You’re welcome to bring a small object or photo if you feel called.

Tickets are only $50! Space is limited.

Completed my first 5k for @regionalhospice annual colorfest today! I was able to raise only $100 individually but I’d say that’s still a success. I also completed it within 30 minutes which surpassed my goal so I’m proud! taken in Tarrywile Mansion by @celestialbranches

Another beautiful ceremony in the books. Thank you @mm.sanctuaryforhealingarts for hosting us. This was one of the smaller groups I’ve led and it was perfect. We were all able to dive a bit deeper and share stories from our past experiences with death.
