On a beautiful Tuesday night at the Greenway Court Theatre poets gathered in a space where millions of stories have been told. Where lives have changed, loved was gained, people grew and learned about themselves. Souls flirted, connected and became lovers in one night. Friends gathered to replenish from the week they had. The laughs, tears, the healing and freedom witnessed on stage. What a blessing to witness. No matter the building, the stage, the park, or on planet Mars. DPL is home to me. It's been an honor to have performed on the same stage as the poets I respect and learn from. I've learned so much about myself. I have let go of pain, and I softly healed in this space. I've gained memories, friends, and a family. For that, I will forever be grateful. I can't wait to see what will be next for DPL. All I know, I'll be there when it happens. -Celia DaPoet #JustCeliaThings #Poetry #SpokenWord #DaPoetryLounge #celiadapoet # by @celia_dapoet

Some days are easier than others. Some days my heart is full by the music I sing. My best days are living each one. Even when it's hard. I keep going. We keep going. We keep growing. Continuously learning about ourselves. I am learning how to find joy in the dark and laugh under the spotlight of the sun rays. -Celia DaPoet by @celia_dapoet

WHY DO WE BOO THE JUDGES?! 👀📣 Because poetry slam tradition says the audience gets a voice too! 😂 At a slam, judges score each poet based on their performance. Sometimes we LOVE the score. Sometimes we respectfully… strongly disagree. 😭 And that’s where the boos come in. It’s not personal. It’s part of the fun, the energy, and the beautiful chaos of a poetry slam. The audience gets to cheer, react, celebrate, and let the judges know when we think they’re playing with our emotions. 😂 But remember: we boo the SCORE, not the person. ❤️ So if you’re coming to the Pitch Deck Poetry Slam, bring your voice, bring your energy, and bring your most dramatic reaction. 🎤 October 15, 2026 📍 Cal Lutheran University ⏰ 6:30–8:30 PM Would you boo a judge? 👀👇🏾 #MeltTheMic #PitchDeckPoetrySlam #PoetrySlam #SpokenWord by @celia_dapoet
