Jesus saved me from myself

what does that really mean?

the life i was living wasn't only broken

it was -empty-

and it wasn't just "broken" because i was doing "bad things"

i was living outside of God's will for my life

you know how i knew?

..when i was never satisfied

you get high, you sober up, you go back to it

you drink, you sober up, you go back to it

you have sex, or not even, you're touched, felt, "seen", you crave it, you go back to it

you gossip, it's gives you entitlement.

you show off your body and it gains attention, you desire being seen so you do it again.

i felt empty because i was a cistern with a hole.

a heart with a hole i couldn't figure out how to fill

i searched in the gym, new age spirituality, drinking, getting high, pills, through gossip, fitting in, doing what everyone seemed to do to fit in.

i felt like i was in control until i was broken to a point of surrender

surely the God i grew up hearing about had something to do about it

God's will for my life and for yours is ultimate surrender, unity with him, to be one with Him

this isn't through tradition, it's through the Word.

i needed like minded people. i needed accountability

i needed to repent. to get open. to be honest

i had to stop running away from the truth about how i was living.

i was my own god. i did what i wanted, when i felt like it, when i craved it, in my own leisure.

i was a slave to myself and it left me dead

but with Jesus, you will have new life

“We were therefore buried with him through baptism into death in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, we too may live a new life.”

week 2 of lebanon, as well as my goodbye, or see you later

i dont even know where to begin fam. this trip to lebanon was motivated, protected, and guided by Christ. what a dream it has been building forever connections with this family here. even "see you later"s haven't been this hard. i'm so blessed. so so blessed. my only regret is not staying long enough, but then idk if id ever leave taken in Lebanon by @celinerosadoo

week 1 in Lebanon, so many dreams, answered prayers, and wishes come true. Jesus has orchestrated every hang out, meeting , and flight for this moment. every picture is a moment i felt excitement, happiness, and contentment. His faithfulness reminds me of this scripture

“Your eyes saw my unformed body; all the days ordained for me were written in your book before one of them came to be. How precious to me are your thoughts, God! How vast is the sum of them! Were I to count them, they would outnumber the grains of sand— when I awake, I am still with you.”

these days in lebanon with the community have been ordained for me since before i was born. that leaves me in insane awe of Him. everytime i'm on the beach im reminded of God's love for me, as His thoughts of me outnumber the grains of sand. taken in Lebanon by @celinerosadoo
