Protecting a reef is easier when you can show what’s in it 🪸

33 detectives, 100+ clues across the island, the sea and a neighbouring island, and one very dramatic final reveal. Huge props to @evolve_arts for another killer performance at our Murder Mystery last weekend, and thank you to every sleuth who left no stone unturned!

In all honesty, the investigation may officially be closed, but our sanity in trying to crack the case is still under review... 😮‍💨

We are proud to partner with Cempedak Island to bring the Tulisan Nusantara Writers’ Residency to Ubud. On Cempedak Island in Indonesia’s Riau Archipelago, the residency gives writers time and space to turn the sea, wildlife and stories of the region into new work.

Ask what’s on our menu, and the honest answer is: whatever’s local, fresh, and in season. Our kitchen runs on local cuisine, fresh-caught seafood, and homemade everything. Western ingredients are genuinely hard to come by out here, so instead, we lean all the way into Indonesian cooking.

Which, lucky for everyone, is not exactly limiting! With over 5,000 traditional recipes spread across the archipelago, our daily pre-set menu barely scratches the surface.
