🗣️ARE YOU READY! 🖤 THIS FRIDAY: VILLAIN ORIGIN STORIES Friday, October 23 | Phoenix Center for the Arts Centered.PHX returns with an evening of live storytelling exploring the complicated moments that shape our identities, relationships, and reputations. We’re talking betrayal, boundaries, heartbreak, survival, questionable decisions, and the moments that made us say, “You know what? Fine. I’ll be the villain.” Our storytellers are preparing to share their perspectives, and we want you in the room to witness them. Because the point isn’t to decide who’s right or wrong. It’s to remember that people are rarely as simple as the stories told about them. 🎟️ GET YOUR TICKETS: https://themuseeum.com/products/centered-phx-storytelling-villain-origin-stories Bring a friend. Especially the one who’s been called difficult for choosing themselves. 👀 by @centered.phx
Villains have imaginations too. Whose future are we helping bring to life? My work, my business, my art, that’s my imagination on display. Bringing my daydreams to life is my form of protest. Voting is another way I act on the world I want to see. The question follows me into Villain Origin Stories: who gets to call themselves the hero, and who lives with the consequences? What does the future you’re creating make possible for other people? #WhoseImaginationWins #VillainOriginStories #ArtAsProtest #CreativePower #CenteredPHX by @centered.phx

🖤 EVERY VILLAIN HAS AN ORIGIN STORY. But what happens when you’re the villain in somebody else’s version of events? Maybe you stopped being the bigger person. Maybe you chose yourself. Maybe you finally said no. Or maybe you did exactly what they said you did. 👀 There’s always more to the story. On Friday, October 23, Centered.PHX invites you to Villain Origin Stories, an evening of live storytelling exploring the moments, decisions, betrayals, and circumstances that changed how we see ourselves—and how others see us. Because sometimes the villain isn’t who you think it is. And sometimes? The villain has a point. 😈 🎭 VILLAIN ORIGIN STORIES 📅 Friday, October 23, 2026 📍 Phoenix Center for the Arts 🎟️ Tickets available now! Link in bio. Come hear the other side of the story. Apparently, I had a whole storyline and nobody sent me the script. It’s hard competing with people’s imaginations. How many people are responding to a version of you they’ve never met? Poetry+Pastries: A Lineage of Voice 🎙️✍🏾 Today, Phoenix Center for the Arts facilitated a workshop to help @onsemi_official employees celebrate the upcoming National Black Poetry Day (Sat, Oct 17). Through a guided creative process supported by MUSE, onsemi employees gathered for an experience inspired by the legacy of Jupiter Hammon and the enduring power of storytelling, reflection, and poetry. Participants explored the people, places, memories, and lessons that have shaped their lives, transforming personal reflections into original poems. The experience invited each person to consider not only where their voice comes from, but what they hope to pass forward. One of the most powerful moments of the day came when five employees courageously stepped forward to perform their original poems, sharing pieces of their lived experiences, wisdom, and perspective with colleagues. Participants also contributed messages of lineage, selecting lines, lessons, and words they believe the next generation should carry with them. These collective contributions will be compiled and presented to a local youth-serving organization as a gift of encouragement, reflection, and connection. Thank you to everyone who added their voice to the lineage. Together, we created a powerful reminder that every voice matters, every story holds value, and every generation has something worth passing forward. #NationalBlackPoetryDay #PhoenixCenterForTheArts #onsemi #CenteredPHX #Storytelling by @centered.phx
