The news lately has had me thinking about women, and how things like this are necessary. As a woman, that deeply saddens me. A few years ago, I started making these, after I’d read an article about women in Victorian times using their long hat pins to slash the face of an attacker. A man with that type of scar, would then be known to other women, to be dangerous. I was inspired by this!
