Think of when you first learned to ride a bike, or walk —you simply needed a little ballast to give you the confidence you were all right on your own. It’s like Dumbo’s feather, a confidence booster that’s reminds you that you can use that sewing machine, because you have used that sewing machine! Register at my link in bio. Just Start Sewing!

Commercial Sewing Patterns can be as intimidating as an ancient curse. In this eerie class, we’ll unveil how to take your measurements and choose your correct size, uncover the secrets of “ease,” and decipher cryptic “finished garment measurements.” You’ll learn to decode a pattern symbols key and receive a spell to get you results that fit. This Saturday, from 1-3pm at Center for Lost Objects. Registration in bio!

TWO WEEKENDS. FOUR WAYS TO GET INTO TROUBLE. 🧵

I’ve got sewing plans.

THIS SATURDAY • SEPTEMBER 19 • CFLO

12–2 PM — MEET YOUR MACHINE
Bring the sewing machine you already own. We’ll thread it, wind a bobbin, make friends with the controls, troubleshoot the weirdness, and get you sewing.

3–5 PM — TEXTILE LAB
Create a potential disaster!
Needles! Stitch length! Finishes! Fabric with opinions! We’ll experiment, play, test things out and see what happens.

NEXT SATURDAY • SEPTEMBER 26 • CFLO

12–2 PM — MEET YOUR MACHINE
Never sewn before? This is where you start.

3–6 PM — SQUARE ONE
Be There. Be Square.
Start with simple shapes and turn them into something you can actually wear. No pattern required. Just squares, sewing, and a willingness to see where it goes.

AND ONE MORE…

SUNDAY • SEPTEMBER 27 • 2–4 PM
MEET YOUR MACHINE
at The Mullet AudreyRose Vintage

These aren’t sit-and-watch classes. Bring your questions, your curiosity, your machine, your weird fabric, your half-baked idea.

We’ll figure it out together.

Come sew something. Make a mess. Learn a thing.

Start sewing. Build your wardrobe. Make it yours.

This fall, I’m offering a collection of student-led, pattern-free sewing classes designed to help you build the skills—and the confidence—to see what fabric can become.

These aren’t classes about following a pattern from beginning to end. They’re about putting fundamentals into play while building your sewing muscle: understanding shapes and construction, working from your own measurements, making choices, experimenting, and figuring out what comes next.

Think of them as building blocks for a handmade wardrobe—skills you can keep using long after class is over.

✂️ Textile Lab — September 19| 4-6pm CFLO
✂️ Square One — September 26| 3-6 CFLO
✂️ Smarty Pants — coming soon
✂️ Skirt Chaser — coming soon

Classes are intentionally small—no more than four machines—because student-led teaching means having the time and attention to actually see what you are doing and help you move forward.

Textile Lab and Square One are open for registration now!
Come play, experiment, and start building your sewing muscle. Secure your spot via my Link in Bio.

You don’t have to know exactly what you’re doing. You just have to start sewing. Edited to add: I used a manual editing tool that is not ai to create this graphic collage. My work is created and shared thoughtfully and with purpose.
