Sometimes the signs that something is wrong aren't loud. They're quiet. 💙

A mood shift after putting down the phone. A kid who used to love school suddenly dreading Monday mornings. A child who's stopped talking about their friends.

Cyberbullying is often invisible to the adults in a child's life — but the impact rarely is. Swipe through for signs your child may be experiencing cyberbullying, and visit fightchildabuse.org for guidance on how to start the conversation.

Because you know your child better than anyone. Trust what you notice. 💙 by @centersinatra

Today is World Mental Health Day.

Childhood trauma doesn't stay in childhood. When left unaddressed, the effects of abuse, neglect, or chronic stress can follow a child into adolescence and adulthood — shaping how they relate to others, how they handle stress, and how they see themselves. But here's what we also know: early intervention works. Children who receive support, who have trusted adults in their corner, and who feel safe enough to speak up are significantly more resilient. Mental health is child safety. And child safety is mental health.

This World Mental Health Day, we're encouraging every parent, educator, and community member to take the mental and emotional wellbeing of the children in their lives seriously — not just today, but every day. Visit fightchildabuse.org for resources. by @centersinatra

October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month — and we want to acknowledge something that often goes unspoken. 💙

When there is violence or chronic conflict in a home, children feel it — even when no one thinks they're watching. Even when adults try to shield them. The effects on a child's sense of safety, trust, and emotional development can be profound and long-lasting. But early support changes outcomes. A trusted adult who notices. A teacher who checks in. A neighbor who picks up the phone. These moments matter more than we know.

October is Cyberbullying Prevention Month and we're ready to talk about it. 💙

The school year is fully underway, which means kids are more connected than ever. Group chats, social apps, gaming platforms, comment sections — the digital spaces children occupy are constantly expanding. And so are the risks.

Cyberbullying can look like exclusion, harassment, rumors, or threats — all happening on a screen, often invisible to the adults in a child's life. But the impact is very, very real.

This month, we're sharing resources, conversations starters, and tools to help parents, educators, and kids navigate online spaces more safely. Stay tuned — and visit fightchildabuse.org to get a head start. by @centersinatra

September is Baby Safety Month 🍼

When we think about keeping babies safe, we think about cribs, car seats, and childproofing — and those things absolutely matter. But there’s another layer of safety that deserves attention: protecting infants and toddlers from abuse and neglect.

The youngest children are among the most vulnerable. They rely entirely on the adults around them and may not be able to communicate when something is wrong.

Knowing the signs — including unexplained injuries, sudden changes in behavior, or other concerning changes in a child’s well-being — can help you recognize when a child may need support.

This Baby Safety Month, go beyond the checklist. Learn the signs, stay informed, and know how to help.

September is Suicide Prevention Awareness Month, and it’s an important time to talk about something that doesn’t get discussed enough: the connection between childhood trauma and mental health.

Children who experience abuse, neglect, or chronic stress can face a greater risk of depression, anxiety, and suicidal thoughts. That’s why early intervention matters. Safe relationships matter. Trusted adults matter.

One of the most important protective factors for a child’s long-term well-being is having a consistent adult who listens without judgment, believes them when they speak up, and shows up, even when it’s hard.

If you’re concerned about a young person in your life, visit fightchildabuse.org for resources to help you start the conversation and connect them with support. 💙 by @centersinatra

Here's a small question that teaches a big lesson: "Do you want a hug or a high five?" 💙

When we let children choose how they greet someone, we're sending a powerful message: your body belongs to you. This simple act of asking builds the foundation for everything we teach about personal boundaries, safe vs. unsafe touch, and speaking up when something doesn't feel right.

As the school year begins, it's a great time for parents and educators to practice small moments of consent in everyday interactions. It adds up to something enormous.

It can be a car ride conversation, a bedtime check-in, or a quiet moment over breakfast. Our age-appropriate guides at fightchildabuse.org are built to help parents start these conversations with confidence — no script required.

This school year, let's make safety part of the back-to-school routine. by @centersinatra
