Featuring “Renewal” by Chloe Sastry, one of 30 photographers in our group exhibition themed “Connected:Disconnected”. “Renewal explores the constant transformation of our decay into renewal within Kensal Green Cemetery, revealing how the end of life remains connected to the ongoing cycles of nature,” Chloe says. “Focusing on lichen, insects, and surrounding plant life, my images show the connected and disconnected states of life and death. The close, softly blurred detail creates an ethereal atmosphere, reflecting on our impermanence and our connection to nature’s continual renewal.” > The exhibition is now closed but you can see more of Chloe’s work on her IG: @chloesastry > Exhibiting photographers: Andrew Boxer @andrewboxerpics Astrid Zweynert @outofeffra Austin Guest @austinthruthelens Bernard Creely @bernardcreely Chloe Sastry @chloesastry Chris Burrows @burrows6192 David Bennett David Helms Dorota Boisot @dorotaboisot Eric Boscia @ericboscia Elizabeth Brown @elizabethhaybrown Eva Turrell @evaturrellphotography Eve Milner @evemilnerphotography Frankie McAllister @frankie.mcallister Fred Kavalier @drkavalier Grazyna Cydzik @grazynacydzik Heather Martin @hmartinphotos Heloise Bergman @heloise_bergman James Cashmore @james.cashmore Jan Cylwik @jan_cylwik Jane Ross @janeross15 @janeross15_colour Jim Paterson @jmpaterson2012 Julian Sainsbury @greymarkimages Kate Coe Temnomeroff @TemnomeroffJournal Mark Friend @friendm301 Michael Coleman @bikeboy295 Pauline Moon @paulinemoon1 Prodeepta Das @prodeepta.das Robin Maurice Barr @nogreathurry Steve Jones @stevejones35 #LondonIndependentPhotography #Central_LIP #photographyexhibition #photofusion #brixton by @central_lip
Robin Maurice Barr is one of 30 artists in our “Connected/Disconnected” exhibition. Last chance to see the show on Saturday! Robin has a great passion for taking abstract photographs of people, architecture and aspects of the urban environment. He lives in Yorkshire but loves to pop down to London for some great photography. Featuring Frankie McAllister, one of 30 artists in our exhibition “Connected/Disconnected”. Last chance to see the show on Saturday! “The silhouette is about social disconnection; about people who don’t find it easy to function in social settings, who operate with permanent filters, from behind barriers, expending huge energies to do what others find as easy as breathing,” says Frankie. Grazyna Cydzik is one of 30 artists in our “Connected/Disconnected” exhibition. Last chance to see the show on Saturday! “What is it? they ask. I tell them. Why have you kept it? they ask. I tell them: Because this little thing is a marker .... A marker of what? Of the precise moment you and I were biologically disconnected. What’s that, that there..ugh ? they ask. I tell them: It’s a teeny crusty leftover, a remnant of your umbilical cord stump. And here’s the interesting bit: it probably still contains viable DNA.” IG: @grazynacydzik 📅Exhibition dates: Oct 27 - 31 from 10 am to 6 pm 📍Photofusion 2 Beehive Place/SW9 7 QR/Nearest tube: Brixton/Rail: Brixton Exhibiting photographers: Andrew Boxer @andrewboxerpics Astrid Zweynert @outofeffra Austin Guest @austinthruthelens Bernard Creely @bernardcreely Chloe Sastry @chloesastry Chris Burrows @burrows6192 David Bennett David Helms Dorota Boisot @dorotaboisot Eric Boscia @ericboscia Elizabeth Brown @elizabethhaybrown Eva Turrell @evaturrellphotography Eve Milner @evemilnerphotography Frankie McAllister @frankie.mcallister Fred Kavalier @drkavalier Grazyna Cydzik @grazynacydzik Heather Martin @hmartinphotos Heloise Bergman @heloise_bergman James Cashmore @james.cashmore Jan Cylwik @jan_cylwik Jane Ross @janeross15 @janeross15_colour Jim Paterson @jmpaterson2012 Julian Sainsbury @greymarkimages Kate Coe Temnomeroff @TemnomeroffJournal Mark Friend @friendm301 Michael Coleman @bikeboy295 Pauline Moon @paulinemoon1 Prodeepta Das @prodeepta.das Robin Maurice Barr @nogreathurry Steve Jones @stevejones35 #LondonIndependentPhotography #Central_LIP #photographyexhibition #photofusion #brixton by @central_lip
Last chance to see this atmospheric work by Heather Martin, who explored a historic West London cemetery, capturing its quiet character within the bustle of the city. “I sit still, listening to nature - especially the crows calling through the winter air,” says Heather. “Light and shadow fall across headstones and buildings, revealing how the surrounding landscape both shapes and slowly reclaims them. My images reflect moments of presence, tranquillity, and the enduring dialogue between nature, memory, and place.” Heather is one of 30 artists taking part in “Connected:Disconnected” at Photofusion in Brixton. “Hypernature” by Astrid Zweynert, one of 30 photographers in our group exhibition ‘Connected:Disconnected’, currently at Photofusion in Brixton. “I explore visual narratives that reflect the interplay between the real and the imaginary in urban and rural landscapes,” says Astrid. “Birches often catch my eye. Ubiquitous in urban landscape design, these elegant trees are often deployed to create an exaggerated simulation of the natural world. Through the abstraction in my images, I reveal a paradox: what was meant to reconnect us with nature is now a stylised, hypernatural design tool.” IG: @outofeffra 📅Exhibition dates: Oct 27 - 31 from 10 am to 6 pm 👀Private view: Come join us on Thu Oct 29 / 6:30 - 9 pm 📍Photofusion 2 Beehive Place/SW9 7 QR/Nearest tube: Brixton/Rail: Brixton Exhibiting photographers: Andrew Boxer @andrewboxerpics Astrid Zweynert @outofeffra Austin Guest @austinthruthelens Bernard Creely @bernardcreely Chloe Sastry @chloesastry Chris Burrows @burrows6192 David Bennett David Helms Dorota Boisot @dorotaboisot Eric Boscia @ericboscia Elizabeth Brown @elizabethhaybrown Eva Turrell @evaturrellphotography Eve Milner @evemilnerphotography Frankie McAllister @frankie.mcallister Fred Kavalier @drkavalier Grazyna Cydzik @grazynacydzik Heather Martin @hmartinphotos Heloise Bergman @heloise_bergman James Cashmore @james.cashmore Jan Cylwik @jan_cylwik Jane Ross @janeross15 @janeross15_colour Jim Paterson @jmpaterson2012 Julian Sainsbury @greymarkimages Kate Coe Temnomeroff @TemnomeroffJournal Mark Friend @friendm301 Michael Coleman @bikeboy295 Pauline Moon @paulinemoon1 Prodeepta Das @prodeepta.das Robin Maurice Barr @nogreathurry Steve Jones @stevejones35 #LondonIndependentPhotography #Central_LIP #photographyexhibition #photofusion #brixton by @central_lip
Featuring Bernard Creely, one of 30 artists in our show ‘Connected:Disconnected’, currently at Photofusion in Brixton. Bernard has made a great flipbook of his work ’Starling Murmurations Have No Leader’, on display at the exhibition. ‘During a Starling murmuration each bird tracks only 7 of its neighbours with each individual connecting, disconnecting and adjusting its speed to match its neighbour’s movement,’ says Bernard. ‘This picture is one of a progression of roughly 300 shot on a Fujifilm X10 set to contiuous mode. On the train home from Brighton I held down the camera playback in one hand and recorded the single images (displayed on the X10 camera screen) on to a mobile phone set to video thus producing an animated sequence of connected pictures capturing the coordinated movement of the murmuration.’ IG: @bernardcreely 📅Exhibition dates: Oct 27 - 31 from 10 am to 6 pm 👀Private view: Come join us on Thu Oct 29 / 6:30 - 9 pm 📍Photofusion 2 Beehive Place/SW9 7 QR/Nearest tube: Brixton/Rail: Brixton Exhibiting photographers: Andrew Boxer @andrewboxerpics Astrid Zweynert @outofeffra Austin Guest @austinthruthelens Bernard Creely @bernardcreely Chloe Sastry @chloesastry Chris Burrows @burrows6192 David Bennett David Helms Dorota Boisot @dorotaboisot Eric Boscia @ericboscia Elizabeth Brown @elizabethhaybrown Eva Turrell @evaturrellphotography Eve Milner @evemilnerphotography Frankie McAllister @frankie.mcallister Fred Kavalier @drkavalier Grazyna Cydzik @grazynacydzik Heather Martin @hmartinphotos Heloise Bergman @heloise_bergman James Cashmore @james.cashmore Jan Cylwik @jan_cylwik Jane Ross @janeross15 @janeross15_colour Jim Paterson @jmpaterson2012 Julian Sainsbury @greymarkimages Kate Coe Temnomeroff @TemnomeroffJournal Mark Friend @friendm301 Michael Coleman @bikeboy295 Pauline Moon @paulinemoon1 Prodeepta Das @prodeepta.das Robin Maurice Barr @nogreathurry Steve Jones @stevejones35 #LondonIndependentPhotography #Central_LIP #photographyexhibition #photofusion #brixton by @central_lip
One more day to see our show! Here’s an image by Julian Sainsbury, one of 30 artists taking part in “Connected:Disconnected” at Photofusion until Saturday. “Alternating Circles” is created from discarded agricultural machinery, the rusting roller colours and sunlight interplay with each other, while the internal jagged iron shapes, and dark colours create discord and foreboding. Come have a look - ‘Connected:Disconnected’ opened today at Photofusion in Brixton.🔥 Featuring Pauline Moon, one of 30 photographers taking part in the show. Pauline says: ‘This work is about the enduring presence of sites of resistance in our landscapes – presence which is encoded in memory and sometimes in physical traces in the landscape. These sites are associated with acts of resistance linked to data collection and surveillance which, in turn, have been subjected to state surveillance. I visited these sites after the fact and photographed what I noticed there. Some sites are little changed while the topography of others has changed significantly.’ IG: @paulinemoon1 📅Exhibition dates: Oct 27 - 31 from 10 am to 6 pm 👀Private view: Come join us on Thu Oct 29 / 6:30 - 9 pm 📍Photofusion 2 Beehive Place/SW9 7 QR/Nearest tube: Brixton/Rail: Brixton Exhibiting photographers: Andrew Boxer @andrewboxerpics Astrid Zweynert @outofeffra Austin Guest @austinthruthelens Bernard Creely @bernardcreely Chloe Sastry @chloesastry Chris Burrows @burrows6192 David Bennett David Helms Dorota Boisot @dorotaboisot Eric Boscia @ericboscia Elizabeth Brown @elizabethhaybrown Eva Turrell @evaturrellphotography Eve Milner @evemilnerphotography Frankie McAllister @frankie.mcallister Fred Kavalier @drkavalier Grazyna Cydzik @grazynacydzik Heather Martin @hmartinphotos Heloise Bergman @heloise_bergman James Cashmore @james.cashmore Jan Cylwik @jan_cylwik Jane Ross @janeross15 @janeross15_colour Jim Paterson @jmpaterson2012 Julian Sainsbury @greymarkimages Kate Coe Temnomeroff @TemnomeroffJournal Mark Friend @friendm301 Michael Coleman @bikeboy295 Pauline Moon @paulinemoon1 Prodeepta Das @prodeepta.das Robin Maurice Barr @nogreathurry Steve Jones @stevejones35 #LondonIndependentPhotography #Central_LIP #photographyexhibition #photofusion brixto by @central_lip
Connected:Disconnected’ opened today at Photofusion in Brixton. Don’t miss it🔥 Jane Ross is one of 30 photographers taking part in the show. Her image ‘Alone together. The night bus to Cairo’ shows a clear tension between physical and emotional closeness on this bus.: everyone is packed together, yet the central figure is set apart and clearly in another place, says Jane.
