Centre Access is a weekly podcast bringing you a recap of news from Centre County. You can expect to hear from us every Saturday morning with 6 stories and a Centre Documenters local government update. Our first episode dropped TODAY — Saturday, March 21st. Along with it, we’ve released five pre-season back episodes so you can get a sense of what we’ll be bringing you each week.

Centre Access serves YOU, the roughly 158,000 residents of Centre County, Pennsylvania — by bringing you a roundup of news relevant to you and your neighbors. Powered by The News Lab at Penn State, our podcast also partners with Centre Documenters to deliver highlights from local government meetings each week.

Centre Access is produced by the News Lab, recorded in the Bellisario Media Center and supported by the Curt Chandler Storytelling Fund, the Arthur P. Miller Newsroom Fund, and the Hearst Foundations.

Apply for a News Lab Fellowship and start working for Centre Documenters today! Documenters work 20 hours a month – a low commitment with high impact.

Documenters attend public meetings across Centre County and produce notes, TikTok's, newsletters and a text message program to reach community members with the most important takeaways. We attend public meetings so community members don’t have to.

Apply for a paid, year-long fellowship with the News Lab and work for the Centre Documenters program. Applications close Friday, September 12th. (Link in bio.) taken in Centre County by @centredocumenters
