This artwork took me about 130hs to complete, it is to this date the most challenging, intricate and detailed work I’ve done and at the same time the most fun and exciting one.

For the past year and a half I’ve been working on 13 new works to show in my first solo exhibition in Tokyo this fall.

Sebastian Scaglione, known as Cevo, is a self taught Argentine artist based in Stockholm, Sweden. He is known for large scale, highly detailed paintings that merge architectural precision with futuristic and anime inspired imagery. Working mainly with acrylic on canvas, each painting is built slowly over hundreds of hours, allowing every detail to emerge with intention.

His ongoing series Otoky is inspired by his first trips to Tokyo and Kyoto, and explores the feeling of loneliness within crowded cities. By removing people from the scenes, Cevo turns glowing buildings and empty streets into the main focus creating quiet, neon lit worlds that feel both nostalgic and forward looking. Influenced by Japanese urban culture and craftsmanship, his work invites viewers to reflect on how modern cities shape emotion, memory, and time. @cevoss
