Hosting season is here. 🍂🌿

Magnolia is one of those products that can carry you straight from fall dinners into the holidays. Its deep green leaves and velvety bronze undersides bring natural warmth, texture, and contrast to seasonal tables.

Fall is one of our favorite seasons for texture. Some of these crops are already being harvested across our farms, while others are just beginning to come into season as October gets underway.

This is just a snapshot of some of our October favorites. With farms across multiple growing regions, there are many more varieties being harvested and available throughout the month.

Fall at Willow Creek just hits different. 🍂
Right now, our California fields are full of some of the season’s best color and texture-from Ilex to Rose Hips, shifting into warm reds and oranges.

There’s something special about watching the farm change with the season. These are the crops that make fall feel like fall and we only get them for a short time.

Learning from the global floral industry 🌍🌿

A big congratulations to Steve DeVry, who recently represented CFG in Kenya as part of the Jungle Talks Mastercourse Meet Up!

Steve spent the week alongside floral industry leaders from Colombia, Chile, the Netherlands, Belgium, Poland, China, Kenya, and the U.S., visiting farms, packhouses, and a major flower logistics hub.

From soil health and regenerative growing to Kaizen, new technology, traceability, packaging, and cold-chain management, the week was packed with ideas and a firsthand look at how growers around the world are approaching the future of floriculture.
We’re proud of Steve for being part of this global community, representing CFG, and bringing what he learned back to our teams.

🌲 Christmas tree harvest is almost here!
Troy is showing off one of the coolest sights on our tree farm-our naturally grown High Mountain Blue Noble® Christmas trees. These young trees regenerate across the property naturally, and in some areas, there are so many they look like grass covering the forest floor.

For the holiday season, we offer our natural Noble Firs in 3–4 ft., 5–6 ft., and 6-7 ft. sizes. Looking for a different style? We also offer sheared Fraser Fir from the East Coast.
Harvest begins mid-September, so now is the time to talk Christmas. 🎄 Our programs serve wholesale and mass-market customers, and availability will move quickly as the season gets underway.

More from our Mt. St. Helens tree farm last week!

We were joined by Kirk Hanson from Northwest Natural Resource Group as we continue exploring our path toward FSC certification for the farm.
One of our biggest priorities is simple: leave the forest better each year. From tree topping and removing invasive species to supporting the wildlife that calls this property home, our management practices are designed around the long-term health of the forest.
We harvest for only a short window each year—from mid-September through November, or until the snow arrives, and use low-impact methods that allow the forest to continue growing more than we remove. Gentle cycles that follow the rhythm of growth. 🌲

The evergreens are looking fantastic this year, and before long, this property will be buzzing with harvesting, production, and everything that goes into bringing the holidays to life for our customers.
