HISTORY MADE: CFMOTO SOUTH AFRICA AMBASSADOR TRAVIS TEASDALE TAKES P1 ON DAY ONE OF THE ROOF OF AFRICA 🔥🇱🇸

Some achievements deserve more than a podium photo. They deserve to be told properly.

Day One of the Roof of Africa 2026 has delivered a moment that will go down in the history books, with CFMOTO South Africa Ambassador Travis Teasdale taking an incredible P1 finish.

But the result itself only tells half the story.

When Travis lined up at the start, he was all the way back in position 214. With hundreds of riders ahead of him, the challenge was already enormous. What followed was a charge through the field that saw Travis fight his way from the very back to the front.

And he didn’t just scrape his way into first.

Travis crossed the finish line with a staggering 15-minute gap between himself and the riders behind him.

What makes the achievement even more remarkable is what he was riding to do it.

The CFMOTO 450MT is a light adventure motorcycle weighing in at 193 kg. It wasn’t built as a dedicated race machine, yet Travis has taken it into one of the toughest off-road races on the planet and put it at the very front of the field.

From starting position 214 to finishing P1.

That isn’t simply a good result. It’s a demonstration of what can happen when an exceptional rider, an incredible machine and an enormous amount of determination come together.

For Travis, this is another chapter in an already remarkable racing career. For CFMOTO South Africa, it is a moment that showcases the capability of the 450MT in some of the most demanding conditions imaginable.

And for the entire CFMOTO South Africa team, there is only one thing left to say:

We couldn’t be prouder of you, Trav.

You didn’t just finish Day One.

You made history.

Travis Teasdale makes history for the very first time in Bronze on Day 1, taking P1 on his CFMOTO 450 MT! 🏆🔥

And what makes it even more incredible? Starting from the back of the pack(P214), passing 200+ riders, and crossing the finish line with a 15+ MINUTE gap! Absolutely unbelievable, Travis! 👊💨

What a ride, what a performance, and what a way to start! The whole team couldn’t be prouder of you. 🙌

Now let’s go out there tomorrow and smash it out of the park! 💪🔥

It all started early this year with a goal.

Not just to enter a race.

But to prove what the 450 MT is truly capable of.

So we set our sights on one of the toughest enduro challenges on the planet, the Roof of Africa 2026.

A bike weighing in at almost twice what some of its competitors do. Against machines built specifically for this kind of punishment. Into terrain that would make even the most experienced riders think twice.

The odds were never meant to be easy.

But that was the point.

Because with the right bike, the right team, and the right mindset, you can take on challenges that look impossible on paper.

And Travis showed us exactly what the 450 MT is capable of.

Through the rocks. Through the climbs. Through the exhaustion and everything the Roof could throw at him, he kept pushing forward.

This wasn’t just a race.

It was a test. A statement. A chance to prove that the 450 MT belongs where few bikes dare to go.

And we’re only getting started.

We can’t wait to see what comes next. 🔥

We’re still in so much shock about how incredible Travis’ performance was over the weekend!

Taking 1st on Day 2 after starting all the way at the back, Travis managed to pass 214 riders and finish with a gap to take the win!

Then, with a shortened track on Day 3 and once again starting at the back, Travis fought his way through almost the entire field to finish 7th, all aboard his CFMOTO 450MT.

What a performance! Bravo, Travis! We can’t wait to see what’s next!

What a weekend in the Maluti Mountains! 🔥
It was a weekend that really showed us what the 450 is capable of, and one that will certainly be remembered as a milestone for both Travis Teasdale and CFMOTO.

Day One was nothing short of impressive. With more than 200 riders lining up, Travis put the 450 through its paces and worked his way through the field, showing incredible pace, confidence and determination along the way. By the end of the day, he had made his way past 200+ riders, a remarkable achievement in itself.

Day Two brought a completely different challenge. Due to some official issues, the track was shortened, making for a complicated day of racing and changing the conditions for everyone involved. Despite the circumstances, Travis stayed focused and pushed through to secure an impressive 7th-place finish.

For us, this weekend was about much more than just results. It was about putting the bike to the test, gaining valuable experience and showing what the 450 can do when pushed to its limits. And Travis once again proved why he is a champion.

What an achievement for Travis Teasdale, and what a milestone for CFMOTO. There is still so much more to come, and we’re excited to see where this journey takes us next.

What a day it has been! 🔥
Trav was an absolute champ on the 450 MT, leading the pack by miles just 25 km into the race! Unfortunately, he ran into an issue with a hole in his sump.

Luckily, Trav made the right decision not to risk causing any further damage to the bike and pulled out of the time trial. Despite the setback, the team’s spirits are at an extreme high after Trav’s epic start! What a ride! 💪🔥

We’re currently prepping the bike and can’t wait to get out there and smash tomorrow out of the park!
