Artist Spotlight— Roll Out 2026 @ch.art.er

Hi! I’m Daniela an artist and art educator. My work explores identity, memory, vulnerability, and the spaces we create to find comfort.

I am so excited to be back this year!
What makes Roll Out especially meaningful to me is the communal nature of printing. There’s something beautiful about making alongside other artists and students, sharing the process, learning from one another, and watching everyone’s ideas come to life together.

Having Lauren in my classroom has made that even more special. I get to explore the process alongside my students—experimenting, making mistakes, problem-solving, and discovering what happens when an idea becomes a print.

There’s something powerful about students seeing that artists are still learning, too.

Roll Out has also pushed my own practice in new directions, making me think more deeply about line, texture, negative space, and repetition while continuing to explore the themes that live within my paintings and drawings.

Different medium, same questions.

What do we carry?
What do we protect?
What helps us feel safe enough to be vulnerable?

Grateful to be part of Roll Out 2026 and to make, learn, and print alongside my students, fellow artists and beautiful community 🖤

Come and join us!

This year continues to change me. Tenure, new friendships, new opportunities and the honor of winning 1st place in the Readers’ Choice Award in the artist category!! 🤩🤩

Thank you to my community, my family, my friends — every person who has held me up, believed in me, my work, and voted for me. Your support has shaped this journey in ways I’ll carry forever.

My work has always explored the fragile space between concealment and exposure, vulnerability and protection. To be seen and celebrated is a gift I won’t forget.

Grateful. Inspired. Ready for what’s next. 🤍

The raven not as an omen, but as a guardian.

A quiet witness to vulnerability, transformation, and the kind of healing that happens when we allow ourselves to rest.

A reflection on the parts of ourselves we keep hidden. The flowing forms act as protective barriers—shaped by memory, experience, and emotion. I’m interested in the tension between wanting to feel safe and wanting to be truly seen, examining the delicate balance between vulnerability and self-preservation ❤️‍🩹 by @ch.art.er
